Canberra Raiders v Parramatta Eels at GIO Stadium (6.10pm)

Predicted Raiders team: 1 Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad 2 Nick Cotric 3 Jarrod Croker 4 Joey Leilua 5 Jordan Rapana 6 Jack Wighton 7 Aidan Sezer 8 Josh Papalii 9 Josh Hodgson 10 Dunamis Lui 11 John Bateman 12 Elliott Whitehead 13 Ryan Sutton 14 Siliva Havili 15 Joe Tapine 16 Sia Soliola 17 Corey Horsburgh

Predicted Eels team: 1 Clint Gutherson 2 Maika Sivo 3 Michael Jennings 4 Brad Takairangi 5 Blake Ferguson 6 Jaeman Salmon 7 Mitchell Moses 8 Daniel Alvaro 9 Reed Mahoney 10 Junior Paulo 11 Shaun Lane 12 Marata Niukore 13 Tepai Moeroa 14 Peni Terepo 15 Tim Mannah 16 Kane Evans 17 Oregon Kaufusi

Team Tips: Joe Tapine (thumb) should make a return for the Raiders, while Aidan Sezer (oblique) is also close to a return. It’s tough to change a winning team but Sezer is good enough he should slot straight back into the halves. At Parramatta, all eyes are on Dylan Brown’s back injury and it’s still unknown when he will be fit to play again. If Brown is unavailable Jaeman Salmon will retain his spot in the halves after the Eels’ victory over Cronulla, although Bevan French starred in reserve grade and will be in consideration

. George Jennings continues to push for a return and could knock Maika Sivo out of the side

Seriously kick to corners and chase up hard and straight and then just give it Lane to run at Leilua and we should be looking good

G.Jennings may end up in Takas spot but Sivo is doing fine.... I got round to watcching a replay.

Nikuore was great. Terepo had some nice passes. Jnr wears teams down and Alvaro was very good along with Tepai.
When Jnr,Alvaro and Tepai come off the tide changed. Mannah and Evans dont have same effect. A lot to do with the sting in defense i reckon. There hit ups where fine.
Manu and Brown back will provide some punch and energy off the bench.

Interesting to see how BA approaches this game considering the Raiders are one of our bogey teams. The last time we beat them in Canberra was in 2006 and since the we have played them 16 times for 5 victories. I think Gronk is close to the mark with the suggested selections.

Having to choose between Sivo and Gennings is a nice problem to have...

I really wanna know what it is about playing the Raiders in Canberra that is so difficult for us? is it the cold? the road trip? It has to be something... hopefully we can break the curse this weekend.

Don't think we win this one , Raiders have been awesome

Plus in Canberra at 6pm on a Sunday, showers forecast and will be under 15c during the match

Will be a quiet trip up the Hume Hwy afterwards

Raiders by 10, maybe a little more

When you think about it, we have been a spoon team through a lot of the period since 2006. Even in 2017 when we're top 4 we played them early in the year down there from memory and Cotric scored a beauty to snuff out any chance we had. Even those minor premiership Dragons teams of 2009 and 2010 had their issues winning in Canberra, and they much better cattle than we've trotted out over the past decade!!
