Not that it would have made much difference, but Belrose had just 3 days recovery having played Asquith on Sunday.

RMC

Mounties 18 Asquith 14
St Marys 50 Cabra 14

Mounties were looking dominant at 18-0 but Asquith made a game of it with a strong final quarter. Their first try came from a cross field kick but this was nothing special when compared with their last try when the final play in the set saw a cross field kick regathered and followed with a kick back to the opposite corner and Curtis Johnston flew above the Mounties defender and offloaded to Remfry. It is a pity that the NSWRL ceased providing highlights of these games after 1 round of last season.

4 of the players that played SS against Belrose last week were in RMC today while another played NSW Cup yesterday.

As expected St Marys gave Cabra a towelling. Unfortunately Cabra brought the start times forward 2 hours so it was not possible to watch both RMC games.

SS

Cabra 24 St Marys 22

Cabra led 24-6 10 minutes into the 2nd half but it looks like St Marys stormed home.

Asquith on the back of an 8-2 penalty count at half time. Peanut put his whistle away in the 2nd half and let the teams play. Mounties first try came from a knock on two tackles earlier which all in sundry missed. Their third try on half time came from a forward pass. Could have been a different story. Asquith looked much better in the 2nd half. Mounties struggled to get past their 40 without the referees help.

Missed knock on, missed forward pass. Sounds like ref is gunning for a first grade gig :)
