The Chairman’s Challenge tri-series is competed annually between Ipswich, Gold Coast and Brisbane in A Grade and Under 20s and this year, will be held on the weekend of May 17-19 at Souths, Acacia Ridge.

Personally I'd rather see this Challenge extended to six teams - Ipswich Diggers, Gold Coast Vikings remain as is but split Brisbane into 4 teams based on regional council boundaries - Moreton Rams; Logan - Redlands Bears, Brisbane Wharfies (from south of the river - in Blood Red jerseys); Brisbane Ferrymen (from north of the river - in pristine White jerseys) ... Perhaps a touch of muddy, silty brown on each for authenticity

Question ? Are the the players in the BRL Safe Hands Competition eligible for the Brisbane team ? Or is selected solely from players in the tier/s below ?
