Is he retiring at the end of the year or now?
The way the NRL and 9 are going on about it and posting stats etc. its like he's not gonna play another game?

Interesting what he said when interviewed on NRL 360 last night. He said when he arrived at the Storm, Bellache told him that as long as he made his tackles and had a good kicking game then Bellyache would keep picking him in the side. He said the rest of it, the short and long passing game, managing the game etc all came after with time and hard work.

I know it isn't a popular opinion, but he is the best halfback of his generation IMO.

He reads the game extremely well, can manage to move the team around the field, and make the strongest plays consistently.

He also never really lost his cool when things didn't go right. He was/is a stoic and intelligent player.

big hit!

Def. no to immortal. Put him in a team with the forwards going backwards and see how dominant he is.

thing is, he and guys like Smith and Slater were / are probably so f**king professional that it rubs off on your general merkin of a footy player and it bring them up a few cogs. how many times have we seen average merkins become good players at melbourne and then fall by the wayside when they leave?

he probably isn't your naturally gifted player like Brett Kenny, but the bloke is one of the most professional players rugby league has ever seen. this sport would be off the front pages if we had more like him.

Id say he is THE most professional player of the last 15years. He got to where he has through pure hard work and commitment. He must have been a joy to coach compared to some of the over paid merkins in the nrl.

Cronk is a true legend in every sense of the word. The only Storm club man who took the punishment and consequences with the honesty and culpability that befits the person he is.
