To be fair, most of the media are idiots & only see highlights & every halfback is a tremendous talent if they make a highlight reel. I remember Joey Johns mentioning McCrone in the same breath as origin more than once. It was clear he'd never watched McCrone play an entire game to see the 95% of derp in between the 1 time his passes out of pure panic stuck.

I reckon just about every player the media has hyped up to be the next best thing has turned out to be a dud except for Ponga.
