For Queensland, I believe all eyes will be on Sam Walker. Sam is currently contracted to the Broncos, but with Dearden being thrust into the 7 so early in his career, Sam will have to keep an eye out for other opportunities and this is a great opportunity to showcase his skillset.

One player I'm excited to see is Jack Howarth from Melbourne Storm. I've never actually seen him play yet for Easts, but he's got a lot of raps on him and I'm excited to see how he goes.

Also it's nice to see the selectors reward form. Neither Reece Hoffman nor Harrison Graham were in the QRL Under 18s Squad to start the year, but they played so well in the Seagulls run to the Mal Meninga Cup minor premiership, they earned their selection. This will either be the start of an NRL career, or the biggest game of their life, either way it'll be something they'll never forget.

Sam Walker is an absolute gun in the making. Looking forward to seeing him him run around for Ipswich Grammar in the GPS rugby also.

I would also have Hamiso as fullback, the kid is a gun and will be in first grade with the Cows next year.

Being in Brissy, I haven't seen any of the NSW boys play, but that is a very strong QLD team.

big hit!

For NSW, the Feagai twins and Jayden Sullivan and Josh Schuster are kids to watch. Junior Trbojevic has some talent as well.

Hopefully the Manly boys in the side handle the pressure better than they did in the Ball Cup Final.

Bradman Best at fullback as well. Was touted in some circles as potentially playing fg at the Knights this year.

Prob wont happen now due to Hunts form and think we have pretty much filled our 30 but a fair bit of hype around the kid

Qld way too good, Niu and Coates did a number on the NSW left hand defence. Not sure the reasoning for playing best at fullback, he's an out and out centre who's still regaining match fitness, not really in fullback shape and doesn't have a fullback skill set.

Has anyone seen much of Coates in reggies?

He looked like he broke the first tackle each time he got hold of the ball.
