Surely they then decide to conduct a Bye 9's competition in 2024 where all the byes play off wearing weird jerseys for a bizarre trophy?I think you’re absolutely correct, and they should be done away with.
But the cynic in me says that for this to happen, the NRL would need to appoint a director for byes, elect a committee from clubs voted for by the grassroots members, enlist the services of a team of academics to conduct research into the social and economic impacts, and hold a conference in Vanuatu in 2023 inviting all key stakeholders to review the findings.
No..It’s a thing cause Souths got knock off the top of the table by it
Getting rid of bye points?
Hard to think of something less relevant. Didn't know it was the off season already.

Umm there are only 25 rounds or are you suggesting another round of byes?Break out the roulette wheel. Points given for the bye will be conducted at Jupiters Casino.
So the Queensderpers won't feel left out.
Anyway who gives a hoot? The only points that matter are the ones at the end of Round 26.
I was close......Umm there are only 25 rounds or are you suggesting another round of byes?
haha this was cool but what a loser, wonder what happened to him.
piss it off. if i see a team on the ladder with 24pts, i assume it's the equivalent of 12 wins, not 10 and a couple of f**kin weekends off
Why would you assume that when we've had byes for the last 17 years?

The only way you should get competition points is by winning a game.
