Unfortunately doesn’t matter who we pick if Lady Gagaga plays well we won’t win.

Tariq back in for Chrichton.
NSW forward pack lacking an aggressive merkin. Halves hate playing against Tariq.
Without Klemmer we will lack intimidation.

Too much horse. They've been anything but impressive this year and yet half of them are getting picked for Origin.

This has me pretty mystified too tbh but then our problem is the spine, not the pack.

Aussie Jim was going well this year until (im probably wrong here) they made him captain, then he seemed to fade. Alvaro too seemed to start the season well enough then fade. Niggles?

In the Panthers forum POTY, Tamou has led most of the year before being passed by Fisher-Harris just last week. There's probably some truth in him having faded a little. I've always thought if he put everything into his runs, he could be the best front rower in the game, but he tends to stop when coming to the defence. His defensive work has always been outstanding.

Aussie Jim has always had a bit of the built like Tarzan, plays like Jane thing going on. At least this year he is playing like Jane on the rags. He has been the best of whats sadly been a pretty sorry bunch. For Origin I think Funicane or RCG have more upside if they play to potential.

Fenicane is made for SOO, but is a big minutes player n lock is taken. Mybe front row like Arrow plays.

Maloney/Cleary needs to be the halves and he needs a genuine forward on the bench instead of Crighton, probably Funicane. Get RCG to replace Klemmer, thought McLean would but Manly players used him to make a wish.

I think making mass changes would smell of panic myself.

I think we need a new five eight. Cody Walker is not a good pairing with Cleary playing half as neither is a dominant ball playing/creative type. walker is a ball runner whilst Cleary looks more like a game manager type half.

Obviously we need a prop to replace Klemmer.

I'd replace Crichton with another prop on the bench. None of this "middle forward" rubbish. That's what got us into trouble in Origin 3 in 2018 thinking guys who play lock for their club, or second row can always play in the front row and do well. Some players are able, and some aren't. For example, Jake Trbojevic is a great player, but he's a specialist lock forward not a front rower so expecting him to play like a regular prop for a spell is stupid as it does not suit his style of play.

I think NSW should make a few small changes in the forwards and that's it. They should go to Perth with virtually the same side. That would signal we're not afraid, we lost the last game by an intercept, we'll be back better to win the next one.

Yeah I would not want to be Chambers. He is an angry young man a season is long for the young. Break will do him good.

He will be picked and will play.

he has an opportunity against Canterbury on Sunday to show his head is switched on.

Maloney in; keep Cleary - short prep, keep much of the combos from last year. though if pearce has a blinder against Storm, it'll become a real mind-f**ker for the blues coaching staff

There's talk Cordner won't be fit for Game 2, even though he's named for Easts this Sunday. Perhaps Sims gets his shot, but only in this case I reckon.

Bring in Finucane. Freddy could also parachute RCG in too, particularly with a good game this weekend.

Vaughan
Finucane
Jake T
Murray
Haas
RCG / Lodge / McLean / Prior / Tamou
Frizell
Cordner (Sims)

Freddy & Co then need to decide who they keep for utility/spark off bench - Walker or Wighton

Need an old head in the halves - Maloney.

Townsend would be a good replacement for Cleary if there is no faith in him

They obviously have a combo together

Origin is not a development program. If Cleary is not the best halfback eligible and he can’t get the job done without Maloney(who shouldn’t be there) then piss him off. Zero attacking stats from 4 games. If Pearce served this up he’d be smashed from pillar to post.
The stat that matters is series wins when you compare the 2
