The famous 19th century explorer and naturalist Alexander von Humboldt provides us with a legendary account of a dramatic battle between wild horses and electric eels that he witnessed on a field trip to the Amazon.

In von Humboldt’s account, two horses were stunned and drowned in the first five minutes of their skirmish with the eels, which had been orchestrated by local villagers in order to capture the fish for the intrigued naturalists.

The threatened eels were seen to press against the belly of the horses and discharge their electricity, stunning the horses. The horses sank down exhausted, resulting in the two drownings in the mayhem unfolding between the horses and eels.

Interesting clash this one. Both teams coming off a poor performance last week. I can see this going either way. We have a history of some decent performances against the Broncos, whether Home or Away. Hopefully a big crowd at Wank Best will get us home.
