I would say, following the announcement that Brazil has suddenly got Affiliate Membership with the RLIF, that one of the eight teams in the tournament will be them.
The Confederação Brasileira de Rugby League has been posting for over 12 months now that they were wanting to take part in the tournament, and submitted an application and of course, unlike some of the other nations which are suddenly creating Women's teams for the 2021 RLWC (ie. USA, Scotland, Wales), they have already played an international (against Argentina).
With Australia, New Zealand, England, PNG and France all guaranteed starters, the remaining three spots will be between Brazil, Argentina, Fiji, Samoa, Canada, Cook Islands, Italy, Lebanon, Turkey, USA*, Wales*, Scotland*, with the last 3 yet to play a match, and nothing schedule.
In terms of trying to create a 'global' impression, Canada and Brazil would be the logical inclusions. Alternatively they could increase the number of participants...but unfortunately I don't feel that will happen.
Sorry yes, I meant Women's World CupAre you talking a Women's tournament or something else? I'm unclear
Great to hear. Huge untapped area that to the best of my knowledge doesn’t have a large union footprint and stranglehold apart from Argentina and maybe Uruguay??Things are moving forward in Latin America
A lot of potential in south america, rugby has been pushed big time there as of late with the americas rugby championship and the formation of a new pro league Liga Sul Americana de Rugby which starts next year.Great to hear. Tournament is going to be held just outside of Medellin in Jericó. It will be the 4th edition since 2016 that a Latin American championship has been held.

Is this rugby league or Union? Once again, if its union, the clear advantage that code has in schools and top end of town "friends" has got the jump on rugby league again! Looks like the subservient role for rugby league is assumed again!?

You are painful.
Hold on! Are the competitions mentioned union or not?
If they are union backed competitions, I'll take the "painfull" description as a rap! As the TRUTH HURTS!
