Commissioner: “Mr Burgess, before we start the hearing please state your date of birth for the record”

George Burgess: “21st April”

Commissioner: “Which year?”

George Burgess: “Every year”

Does that mean I am related to him , as mine is on the same day every year too ?

Match Review Committee meeting
OK what have we got to look at this week?
Well we have the Flanagan - Lodge incident.
Ok how about we suspend Lodge for 6 weeks for biting Flanagan's knee?
Nope we can't do that.
Why not?
Well he hasn't got any teeth to bite him with.
You mean to say Lodge hasn't got any, teeth wow he must have had no fluoride as a kid.
Now don't be stupid it is obvious Flanagan knocked them out with his knee.
Ok if that's the case Lodge has no case to answer anything else to look at?
Well it's been a while since we pinged anyone for touching up a ref.
OK best we have a bit of crack down on that what day are the Dragons playing and who is refereeing that game?
6.10pm Sunday at Winn with Cecchin.
Ring Ring
Hi Matt here.
Yeah Matt, Todd here mate can you make sure that you run into Tariq Sims during the game on Sunday and then put him on report for us?
We aren't too happy with the possibility of you blokes being targeted so best we get on top of it before it actually happens.

Just heard Kyle Flanagan has escaped suspension for kneeing Lodge in the head. So Tariq is rubbed out of the Origin because he made contact with Morgan’s head in a tackle that was found not to be late. Annesley stated in the Sims case that the NRL has a responsibility to protect players, especially to minimise knocks to the head. But today he states that Flanagan was judged not to have made contact with sufficient force. What is the definition of sufficient force given what we saw on display in the incident? So knees to the head are okay provided they are not too hard? It’s a joke. And this is not about having a go at the Sharks or talking up an anti Saints conspiracy, rather it is about a total lack of consistency in our game. It is who you are which determines penalties not standards or consistency. A disgrace. Oh well another email to the NRL needs to be written........pointless I know
If their that concerned about minimising knocks to the head, why only one week!! Doesn’t make sense to me. One week will eradicate it out of the game. Joke you muppets.
On a positive note Mcgregor will at least have a job on the committee once he has buried us in the ground. If no f**king idea is part of the job description than he will be running the show.

The biggest joke is the Match Review Committee really doesn't review matches, their job is to manage incidents. So the should be called the Incident Management Committee.
