Just reported on Nine News. The Titans are planning to permanently play 8 of their home games out of Suncorp Stadium, in an attempt to save the club from oblivion by essentially becoming the "2nd Brisbane team". They are also even considering renaming them to the title of the thread in an effort to save the brand. They will continue to train and be located on the GC.

......Yep, we really are in the most bizarre timeline.

Well with that now sourced, I hope it happens. A second Brisbane team without expansion means Perth are all but guaranteed entry into the NRL.

What’s the distance from Brisbane CBD to the GC like? Is it comparable to Sydney to Penrith?

This is the Broncos single greatest wish.

Not hard to maintain a monopoly when your competition is a basket case.

How exactly is this going to help the Titans? no one in Brisbane gives a f**k about them. They actually have more fans on the coast. Unless they can get much cheaper rent at Suncorp it doesn't make any sense.

NRL every weekend at Suncorp is a good thing though. Brisbane deserves to see NRL every weekend.

What the f**k? A second Brisbane team is likely to do well but it needs to be it’s own identity. Transplanting the failed titans to Brisbane will just lead to them continuing to fail whilst taking away the chance for another team to be added in Brisbane.

The titans problems aren’t because they’re located on the Gold Coast. Surely the NRL can’t be happy with this.

I guess the NRL asked its bosses - Lachlan Murdoch and Gil McLachlan what they thought was best for the Titans and this is it?
