Coyne has gone from being a Queensland Origin legend to a Dragons star overnight.

Thanks to the everloving AwFuL crowd at Chunnel 7.

Coyne must have had a few. According to the Singapore Government, Coyne “used insulting words towards Sergeant Dominic Song Guo Quan of the Singapore Police Force, a public servant, in relation to the execution of his duty as such public servant.”

Only a complete drunken goose would have abused Dominic Song Guo Quan. He is someone whom you just don't mess with.

I love he's still trying to squirm out of it & not resign. It will be pure NRL to let a commissioner stuff in a drunken stupor, deliberately lie about it, break his own code of conduct & then keep handing out punishments to players.

New details: he was going to claim it was all a beat up... until police pointed out they had recording equipment on their vests & recorded the whole incident. (He really doesn't understand Singapore is not only a first world country but MORE tech savvy & organised than Oz. Especially Qld)

Then he ignored legal advice pointing out this was definitely something he SHOULD be mandatory reporting to the NRL.

Next he will likely try to claim he thought this would all be a small fine & no court, therefore he thought he wouldn't have to report it. This will be utter crap. His comments about, "Gee their judicial system is very different than ours" set this up. As well as trying to hint that this will be some sort of kangaroo court (pun intended).

Mark Coyne may be banned from SIngapore as a result of his court case.

I just found it funny how all the news mention he “missed all 3 origin games” like he’s still playing or that should weigh in his sentencing :joy:

Banned from Singapore? That tops Toddy being banished from the city of Goulburn.

Did anyone pick up on how Coyne mentioned at his press Q&A that he only found about the language used the other day? He must have had a few..

Bloke swears at a copper and taxi driver overseas....potentially loses his job in Australia.

Only in the NRL entertainment industry is this scenario possible, except maybe politicians (K.Rudd excluded).

Coyne should be sent back to Singapore for a good caning.

The sort of caning Saints fans are used to.

I'm surprised a bucket of phlegm hasn't already been dispatched from Kogarah to Dominic Song Guo Quan.
