When was the last time a keeper got injured the morning of or the day before a match? It’s highly unlikely.

Is there an Aussie keeper in county cricket? If there is, you’d only have to worry about an injury on the morning of a match.

The year Grahame Manou made his test debut over there- needless to say I want a keeper just in case. Sure they might just be “in an emergency” but it’s important. Furthermore might allow Paine to have a rest or two in the tour games.

We have been known to hand the gloves to random locals in tour matches to avoid playing our sole keeper. We don’t need Carey when there’s Wade and potentially Bancroft in the squad.

There’s no tour games once the tests start. The schedule is tight because of the World Cup.

Wade will be fine as the backup, I know he’s not the best, but he’s easily good enough for that role.

Agree to disagree. Personally I’d rather an extra keeper. Don’t think Wade is good enough

Wade will have enough on his plate to be keeping

coming in at no 6 saving the day with the bat many times

then having to roll his arm over for important break throughs

and of course the main thing he will be required to do - make the side

A tour match is scheduled in between the first and second test.

England’s squad to face their ODI captains old team looks trash.

Apart from the kiwi Stoakes and Warner’s bitch Root, their batting line up is fragile to say the least.

We’ll win this series comfortably. Load up on the $2.63 for us to win if you like money.

Wait till after the first test. Our bowlers bowled beyond dumb last time bowling short trash. Watch them not pick a Siddle/Richardson type who are perfect in these conditions too.

During the World Cup we pitched it up, so there’s hope. Big reason for why we beat England at lords, too.

Siddle with 70 wickets the last two county seasons at 18 should be one of the first picked. If I could only pick one pace bowler to play every match it'd be Potassium Pete.

I am actually finding it quite difficult to pick a team. I think we are a real good chance to claim this ashes series. Here is what I’ve come up with:

Warner
Harris
Smith
Khawaja
Wade (deserves a recall as a specialist batsman tbh, nobody has been close to him for 12 months and he has performed in England too)
Head
Paine
Cummins
Starc
Lyon
Hazlewood

Bancroft
J. Richardson
Pattinson (can cover the inevitable injury with the fast bowlers)
Carey (probably deserves a go but where?)
Patterson (really tough to leave him out but can easily fill in for head or khawaja if injured or out of form)
Labuschagne
