It didn't look anywhere near full. I remember thinking that there was nearly 1/3 of the upper tier of the eastern stand empty, and most of one of the safe standing bays. Good atmosphere though from where I was sitting

There wasn't. But they made the claim that 10000 went through the gates throughout the day, as they had 5 divisions play Grand Finals. I still call bullshit.

So, the Wanderers signed Alexander Meier this week as their striker.
Pretty decent pedigree having played most of his career in the Bundesliga.
Very decent goal scoring record and loved by the fans at his club Eintracht Frankfurt.
The German equivalent of Del Piero although strangely enough, has never represented his country.
Anyway, a decent signing.

He's 37 in January. Probably stopped being good enough for the Bundesliga three years a go but I'd expect him to still go well at A-League level.
