Doubt whether he would want play under McGregor when there would obviously be other clubs after him

For someone who takes every possible crack at Millward, you know absolutely f**k all about recruitment.

Titans have tabled a 5 year, $4million contract for Arrow.

Any bidding war for his signature would leave a massive hole in our salary cap.

Arrow would be a great pick-up but 2 things stand in his way:

1. Why on this Earth would he want to come to play Dragons football. There is no progression on him coming from a team running 16th to a team running 14th. Like all good players he'll be looking for a premiership, you can guess who will be the obvious choice considering a certain other player looks like moving to Union (and I don't mean Meroa), perfect replacement.

2. Let's see what happens tomorrow at the appeal for JDB.

Millward and recruitment managers from other clubs will feed Arrow with similar BS on why he should sign with their club. Arrow should sign with SGI because our Club has 5 SOO players, is likely to lose our SOO lock and so we want him to replace our lock. 4m over 5 years is a good price given that the cap will increase over that time and De Belin is taking up 550k per year which would go towards his singing.

We would need Graham, and some others to come off our cap but I'm sure magic Millward could handle that with ease.

If Arrow signed we could have a run on back 3 of T Sims, Frizell and Arrow. Probably the best in the NRL.

Of course a new head coach would also be a step in the right direction.

I don’t think the cap will increase again , the TV deals going forward won’t be as lucrative .

He has been offered 800k a year with 5 years . He would only leave for similar /less for a club that is fighting for the title . For him to sign up would have to be for 100-200k a season over same period. So question is do you want to tie up 1m on the cap for him

For pity sake ! Dragon territory is the Elephants Graveyard and any player with a half a brain realizes that , Jai Field and Tornado or whatever his name is , just won’t be coming anywhere near Kogarah or WIN as you can bet your last dollar that Mary would destroy their last remaining half of brain .

Undoubtedly Field would much prefer going to a club that has true premiership aspirations , perhaps a club that was well run and with a coach whom would take him to the next level whether that be a S.O.O. jersey or even a Kangaroo green and gold jersey . Down Wollongong way the poor sod may very well end up pulling splinters from his posterior .

Yes i would sign him but Millward at the Dragons have stated publicly to a DT reporter today they are not interested. Yeh why would you be if you were the Dragons!...or better still why would he go from one basket to another. Probably would demand now too much dosh as.8 other cluibs chasing him. He will stay a Titan anyway is my best guess.

The roosters and the storm are the best cap managers in the game.

They definitely won’t be chasing Arrow. Anyone who thinks that throwing a million a year at him to lure him from the titans might want to think about why the roosters and the storm won’t chase him.

Rothfield in the paper today claimed that Saints will not be able to sign any high profile players, even with Widdop going as we will have cap trouble. Now I know he is a complete idiot but where does that come from? Mind you we will be paying for Debelin to sit on the sideline again next year.
