Sharks on the move from Rothfield

My tin foil hat is shiny brightly as well. Not concerned about Darwin. They ain't moving team there

I'm concerned about the Sunny Coast. Could be a bit of a "let's see how this goes and gauge the interest up there" type of thing.
The Melbourne Storm should relocate to the Sunshine Coast, that's where all their development takes place, There has always been an interest in league up there, the only issue has been to have a population and economy to support a league team and I think they have it. Would Mr Coolum care to comment ?

Nah the NRL needs the game to be flourishing in Melbourne. They will never ever be relocated. Even though they are perennial kaaarnnnttsss, they are probably in the strongest position apart from the Broncos to never be moved away from their current location.

f**king Kogarah???

These f**kwits do NOT give a shit about us.

Watching the sharks play home games at Kogarah is like watching porn with your mum in it.

What would be your solution?

Can’t say I’m excited about what they’ve come up with but what would your solution be?

I can’t believe we aren’t going to use BankWest stadium for at least one game against Parramatta or West Tigers.

I guess there’s more money to play at Darwin & Sunshine Coast and the board wanted at least 10 “home” games to promote for season tickets at the nearest ground closest to ours which is Kogarah.

They need the home games to satisfy the sponsors. Probably cost them more in the long run though

I would not be surprised once redevelopment is doen, we only play 10 games at Shark Park each year, the other 2 for Darwin & Sunny Coast.

The question re Points Bet they pay for ground naming, what happens to that money for next 2 years, are we short that as well

The nearest stadium with any sort of sponsorship boxes, and reasonable seating numbers and probably we'll win more then than we currently do at Shark Park, isn't the end of the world.
If it had been at the SCG I would have stood in front of a bulldozer, any bulldozer.
If we're playing like champions next year ,the crowds will be there.
Some times these threads are more depressing, than our current players' form.

Anywhere but there

It’s embarrassing.
It is a horrendous idea.
Did the Dragons use Shark park when kogarah got done up?
No f**king way.

It is up there with the dumbest ideas this club has ever come up with.

I want to spew just by thinking about it.

It is the LAST place we should be going

If the SFS was not knocked down that would have been the best option for mine.

We always get great crowds there.

Unfortunately timing with this situation is shyte house.

What a ridiculous idea to move away for two years. How the f**k was that ever given the green light

Surely with decent planning & some support from the NRL with scheduling, it could be reduced to officially 1 season but no, we are going to drag it out.

Losing your identity might mean you never get it back!

It is the FIRST place we should be going with no SFS.

Its a disaster.

I hope this is the clubs way of making 1 year away from shark park more palatable by pretending it’ll be 2.

I've thought for the last few years that the developers would be eyeing off where our ground is for another few hundred apartments.

Who's going to fund any sort of upgrade to the ground as well ? No one i reckon, and as much as i hate to say it the place is losing the suburban stadium charm and just starting to feel old and dilapidated.
