Round 19 vs Souths

The score flattered our side.

Our forwards were dominated for most of the game.

Widdop was rusty. Tried hard. His goal kicking was a highlight.

Norman offered very little from fullback.

Sims boys lack energy and aggression.

Saab has a lot of promise. He has speed!!

Cam McInnes take a bow what a charge down and recovery.

Leilua and Kerr should be given more game time. Run hard. Kerr plays the ball quickly.

Mary is such a tool.

We need points and he leaves Dufty on the bench for 75 minutes.

I'm talking over 5 years....He basically is a power runner with a very average passing game...Rushes up in defence............ should have been dropped to reserves ages ago...

Lomax leaves him for dead....Lafai is also running on old legs..........
Cant argue there, I was only talking about this game in relation to Aitken. I think Lafai needs to be dropped next week. He was one of the worst tonight and last week.

Heartbreaker.. McInnes again a mighty effort, Saab looks the goods, Gaz rusty but better with him back. Aitken showed some great touches as did Hunt but also some awful lapses, same old.
Poor plan, if it was one, to leave Jammer on for so long without a rest and give Dufty only 3 minutes.
Lomax a bit underwhelming, I’d like to see Ravalawa in on the wing for him and Lomax to centre.
Luciano needs more game time.

I'm actually disappointed we didn't lose by 40.. Think of the excuses from super coach Mary.. We lost with only a few seconds left on the clock to the team coming second.. They might give him a 5 year extension....

Unfortunately the game played out pretty much as expected - almost as a print .
Better overall performance by most , but some chaps just did not deliver.

Thought that young Saab had a good debut and will only get better ( if Mary is not involved ) . Widdop did add a bit of polish to the Dragons in his comeback make match , whereas both Norman and Hunt could had played better .

Just disappointed that we were on the game but lapses in defense and some bad reads cost us in the end .

I thought we actually tried hard. We are poorly coached but I’m not going to go there. McInness was phenomenal, Saab was brilliant, even Aitken played well. I like Norman at fullback. I think Lafai needs to go. I’d play Rav next week on the wing and Lomax at centre. I’d seriously look at playing Sims at lock or dropping him. Sims at lock would certainly tighten our defence around the centre of the ruck. No point playing him on the edge he’s not doing anything there. I’d drop Lawton to the bench and maybe play Luc on the edge. Perhaps Ford could get a run on the bench ahead of Dufty.
We need aggression in the pack. I’d drop Tariq and bring in Timm

Yes gutted like you all.

Look young Saab was taken out in the catch, no Souths guys contested just charged forward to escort him off the ball and take his legs out.

Be fair regardless of your feelings about Aiken. He made the last tackle comfortably and game over. Young Saab left his wing, it is what it is. Aiken also made a great break and was held in a professional foul to stop a quick play the ball.

They were much better most of the game but we were stiff to lose that one.

Graham had 3 mins off that's all.
Re dufty absolutely ridiculous
Didnt I say earlier today that Dufty would be pulling splinters out of his arse for 70 maybe 75 mins......super coach decides to play with 16 again....and thats one of the reasons we are 14th.....I didnt watch most of the game just turned it on as Saab scored his second .....Id like to work out the percentages of how many times teams get the ball back from short kick offs....I think it would surprise people just how many times they do......I was watching the tv from a distance but thought Luc knocked it on not Saab....was it def The young winger

Mary said you almost scored 2 more tries.

Bennett said he thought the dragons effort was there but you needed more.

Renno put Souths under pressure tonight.

The young Audi bloke had a blinder.

Sorry didn’t get to watch game but will when I get home from work. If this is the backline that you think is the best then why not use Aitken as a reserve backrower. Seems to have no trouble making tough meters and it would be a better option than having a specialist tiny fullback on the bench.
In regards to wanting the boys to lose I sort of did ( I have never thought this way before), due to seeing no other way of getting in a decent coach who can get the best out of the players. I know it’s a hard one and don’t get me wrong I love my Dragons just as everyone else on this forum does but this muppet has almost drained the passion out of me due to his poor game plans and player management, both current first graders and juniors. The fact that it takes an injury for someone to even get a call up to the Nrl (likely bench spot anyway and no game time) just proves this.
In saying all this I have no confidence that the right coach would be selected anyway, if Mcf**kwit was to get the flick.

Frustrated!!!

Like us all mate !

Do we have to play next week?
If we must, I'd trot this lot out :
1 Dufty 2 Ravalawa 3 Lomax 4 Norman 5 Saab 6 Widdop 7 Hunt (under sufferance)
8 Lawrie 9 McInnes 10 Vaughan 11 Frizzell 12 Leilua 13 Graham
14 Host 15 Ford 16 Kerr 17 Aitken/Timm

As I said earlier on here I only watched the last 7 or 8 mins and to be honest it took an effort from me to do that as Ive completely lost interested after 60 years.....even though I predicted it earlier today it defies belief and any sort of logic as to why a person in charge would pick a player (Dufty in this case) and play him for a piss weak 3 mins.....the imposter talks about blokes being tired jaded after origin and some are returning from injuries and he brings our 17th payer on in the 77th min.....FMD can someone please enlighten me and tell me what a player is supposed to do in that time and what impact he would have on the result...forget about the state of the game tonight its a regular occurrence with this excuse for a coach ....the mine boggles when I think Widdop will be no longer with us next year
