Well I reckon the last 4 weeks we have been pretty good.

Warriors / knights / dragon were all desperate to keep their final chances alive. And they all played fairly well!

While with the titans game, we don’t have a good record there and we also aren’t that good at winning few in a row, we always seems to have a good choke!!

When was the last time we spent the entire season in the top 8 (or top whatever)?
I reckon we did in 1977, 1981, 1983, 1986, 2001, 2002.

So the answer is 17 years !!!!

FFS Shaun Lane has been partying again.

BA for coach if the year, can’t believe some think he is lucky due to an easy draw.

He is the only merkin that’s had to only play against sides that finished higher then him in 2018. That’s a blood hard draw!!!! Ha ha

Also imagine put your coaching career in the hands of 2 rookie in your spine, a 5/8 with no games and a hooker with a couple....gee that’s a big call!!

Assuming this is correct, interesting to see how many top 6 sides we have played (position the week we played them) which suggests our finals spot isn’t really due to an easy draw:

Additionally:

- Of the 4 current bottom sides, we have only played dragons twice. We only have one loss against these sides. We also didn’t play a bottom 4 side until round 8
- of the 6 fringe top 8 sides 12th to 7th (generally around the position a few suggest we wouId probably finish / the general ability of our squad ), we have played them all twice. Interestingly apart from the tigers and broncos (who we play this week), our record is one win / one loss against the other 4 sides.

So really the draw hasn’t really helped us, it’s probably that we have been more consistent against the fringe top 8 sides (over 50% win rate) and haven’t dropped many games against the bottom 4.

Yep, I reckon our results against the 'top teams' are pretty indicative of a team running 6th.

That’s misleading. We haven’t played 8 games versus top 6, it includes Sharks. Anyway but but but we only played once vs Scum, Rorters and Souffs, and ignore we only played Tits, Cows & Worriers once also, 2 of which were away games.
Early season we had Rorters, Sharks, Canbra in consecutive weeks.
Then we had magic round into NQ Saturday week after into a Thursday night debacle vs Penriff
