Stadium Averages

I've been posting these in the crowd watch thread but for the end of h/a and end of finals tables I thought I'd make it it's own thread

Heres the final averages and totals for the 2019 Home and Away Season:

2019 - H:A.png

7 venues increased there average from 2018, the largest being Belmore with a 54% improvement
14 venues had a average worse than last year, the worst drop being Kogarah with a 38% decrease
2 venues, Newcastle and Melbourne, broke even (after rounding to nearest whole number)
5 venues hosted their first NRL game and/or wasn't used last year

Brisbane dominated the top 10 crowds, as usual, with the only outlier being the SCG ANZAC game being the 4th largest
The bottom 10 was a mixed bag of mostly Sydney venues, with Darwin taking out the wooden spoon for crowds

The home/away season average is down 2% on last year, and on average all the venues had a 3% decrease.

If your confused by how any of these figures were calculated I'd be happy to explain the spreadsheet, also if you see anything wrong let me know so I can fix it

If relocations and 2 expansion teams were decided by this years venue average:

note: I 100% am not saying this is a good way of picking team locations, just though it was interesting

Roosters @ SCG have a 15,666 average, which is thankfully not the disaster we all thought it could be.

And for the psychos who think Roosters should be the only club not allowed to count their biggest game of the season in their crowd average, the average without Anzac Day is still a fairly comfortable 12,800

The figure listed includes the Dragons home game at the SCG

Question - for club home crowd averages, how have double-headers (e.g. magic round) been taken into account?
Each days total divided by the number of games played that day (which for the average works out the same as the whole weeks total divided by 8)

The "Brisbane M.R Sep. Crowd" row on towards the bottom of the table shows what the average would be using the seperate per-game/accumulative crowds announced on NRL.com

Does "asbestos at Brookie" exclude it from the list?

The psychos are the ones who think the Titans should be dumped based on crowds. After the season they had they are only smidgen below Sharks, Manly and Penrith. If people can't see the potential in that club they are stupid and short sited.

Potential?
That window is closed I’d say.

Eels ave at Bankwest is 21.2k.

You have counted Tigers games in our ave. Our lowest at the venue is 16.6k.
Thats not saying that that is the Eels average, it was more of a hypothetical "what if the comp started from scratch and we placed 1 team in each the 16 best attended venues", then following that hypothetical situation the eels would be the best choice team placed at that venue

If that makes sense
