At full strength Manly are a class above.

But as it is this is probably a 50/50 clash.

That savage beatdown we gave the Bunnies will be hard to come back from.

This will be a great contest. Sudden death. No idea who wins but looking forward to it.

Its kind of hard to not back the heart in that Manly team. Even if id rather play the bunnies in the prelim.

If we win, we do it on heart and likely bow out the week after, but my god after the horror year that Queensland sport has had, the scalp of Wayne Bennett would be the star atop the Christmas Tree of NSW.

Manly will be valiant in their quest to defeat the Bunnies. But with 15 minutes to go, the last of their physical and mental energy, coupled with the difference in experience will unfortunately see them undone.

Mind you, a monumental effort for the Sea Eagles to get this far, and I'm tipping them a top 4 spot for season 2020, but they will fall short of their dream this time round.

Souths 28-12.

Wouldn't read too much into the thrashing Rabbitohs copped last Friday. That was just a special performance by the Roosters.

Rabbitohs comfortably in this one.

It all depends on how much the Roosters game mentally crushed Souths.

If they can brush it off, we should win.

If they can't, Sea Eagles will be giving us a paddlin'.

Surely though completely arsing our way into the "easy" side of the draw should motivate the team...

For what it's worth I can handle losing next week to the Raiders. But finishing in the Top 4 and going out in straight sets to the Roosters and Manly would be the absolute worst!

I feel Manly are gonna do this. They are on such a high and I don't know how much confidence Souths have in them. On paper, Souths have the better side given Manly's injuries but I just see another upset here.

22-16 Manly

Even with their key outs I'm not sure Souths have a better team on paper. They look pretty overrated to me.

The back 5s are pretty even. I'd take Manly's halves and their 3 big boppers of JakeT, AFB and Taupau over their Souths counterparts. And the edges are pretty even as are the benches.

So Souths advantage on paper is a bit of a myth imo.

Plus Manly have all the momentum where as Souths must be utterly demoralised after being pulverised last week.

Also Des ain't gonna be happy with just the wk 1 win. He'll be gunning for more.

Manly by 4.
