I have a 130 litre fish tank my question is adding another filter good or bad for the fish???

In my old place I had a tank, couldn't tell you what the capacity was but it sat in the fire place, had 6-8 fish in it at most times, one filter and the two snails kept the glass spick and span.

I kept and bred tropicals for years. Many different tanks, many different types of fish.

A fish tank is all about balance. Everything you put or let into it has to be balanced out by something else. If you’re having algae issues then you’re letting in too much light. So either reduce the amount of light you let in or add some plants to balance it out.

How high did the water temperature get? Did it end up boiling.....

Lol, any time I felt like a fish dinner I just lit the fire. Honestly though it was an old terrace house and the fire place was never used, the chimney was sealed and the fish tank fitted perfectly into the space.

Should have got rid of the fish and replaced them with something like prawns or lobsters.....

Prawns or my favourite Moreton Bay bugs, I find lobster terribly overrated.
