Thats 100% true, but it still stinks.

To think that in 2020 our arch rivals will have the spiritual home of Saints painted in their colours, using the home dressing room, packing out the hill in black, blu and white ( as their CEO said ), makes me wanna puke.

And as he rightly says .. quote " Sharks CEO Richard Munro

"It won't look anything like a Dragons stadium. The important thing is some members were worried we were giving money [hire costs] to the Dragons but it's not. It goes to the council."

They will play ELEVEN games at Kogarah and we will get FOUR or FIVE...

When Sydney fc plays there it dose not look anything like a dragons game.
Of course it will not when we are not playing there.

There is a positive in this for your club.
The league's club will get patronage for 16 or 17 games next year.
That is a helluva lot more than usual.
The only thing I'd wonder about is what kind of rent the GR Council is charging the Sharks. They had been saying that it was only going to be 8 or 9 games so to get the extra fixtures a good deal must have been struck.

If our club board had and balls, they would ensure that only 'red & white' colours appear on the ground an at the ground.
l can pit up with the Nulla Narks using our ground but no way should they be allowed to display and or paint colours at Kogarah Oval.

They have done plenty of ground share in the football ( soccer ) leagues in England but they don't allow any team that shares a ground to display colour markings.

If the Narks play there, people watching should still be able to see and Saints flags, signage, colours and alike ................ people need to know it is OUR home ground, not the Narks.

I refuse to allow a Whore Pass to our great ground.......... No siree, Bob.

St George playing the sharks at kogarah as a sharks home game is not only absolutely absurd but a definite piss take and the jokes on us we’ve been dacked in the school yard and everyone is standing around pointing and laughing while our pants are around our ankles my level of disgust at the moment is off the chart

Well let’s hope we fart right in their faces on that day Wcd.

TBH the club needs all the help it can get, because it can't help itself to save its life.

We are getting less and less of the once All Mighty St George ..... Even Jubilee Oval the one thing that determined the Dragons gone transforming into Sharks oval .... The St George identity has been prostituted , slowly fading away ....
yep disgusting! how dare our board let the scum take over our sacred turf!! FFS

The Council owns the Kogarah Oval. It’s purely a business decision for them We play a maximum of 6 games there in most seasons, with pretty poor crowd numbers anyway. So to have more games there is good for business and means the asset is actually being used. Leagues Club, may get a benefit with more patronage coming in next year.
But from an emotional point of view the Football BOD and Leagues Club BOD have let the whole place grind into the ground. They will have zero sway in veto of anything Sharks want to do on game day with colours, banners etc...the Sharks will promote this heavily while Dragons can’t even get the Leagues Club to have the electronic sign board up on game day!
We are stuffed as a Club, and odds are next year Sharks will get more “home” fans at our home ground than we do....what a right royal mess.

Is this much different to when Saints played out of Belmore Oval in 1988? In the interim, Cronulla can go f@ck itself. However, this is the paid price when a footy club doesn’t own its own ground. Does any side for that matter?
Cronulla is the only club that does.

Great, so just because they Shaaaaarkeees want to put some more ghetto housing on the mangroves we have to accomodate them.
