Manly had a great season but hit horrible luck towards the end. Turbo, sironen and Thompson were huge losses. Heap of heart in the team and a lot to look forward to next year.

Which penalty shouldn’t have been a penalty?

It wasn’t the penalties you got, it was the penalties we didn’t get. But being sanctimonious and entitled is par for Souths supporters.

Souths should feel very lucky they got that, they were the second best team

Really? 2 BS soft piggyback penalties in the first half not only kept Souffs in the game, but gifted them the lead. Jake getting sin binned for a Gagai swan dive was diabolical. Totally ignoring a tackle without the ball on Parker.
9 - 3!? Farcical. No way Manly were 3 times as illdisciplined than South Sydney.
Better team robbed tonight. Manly a fullback away from winning against a 14/15 man Bunnies outfit.

MATCH REPORT - Rabbitohs 34 Sea Eagles 26:

South Sydney marches on to Preliminary Final
Sam Bourke | September 20 2019 10:54PM

South Sydney Rabbitohs v Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles

South Sydney will face the Canberra Raiders next Friday night for a spot in the 2019 Grand Final after they defeated Manly 34-26 in a see-sawing affair at ANZ Stadium tonight.

The result was overshadowed by three separate Sin Bin offences, two to Manly and one to South Sydney. The final Sin Bin offence to Manly backrower Jake Trbojevic proved the most crucial however, with the Rabbitohs racing in two late tries, while the Sea Eagles were down to 12 men.

How does one stage a crusher?

And strips are 50/50 calls most of the time in every game

Well, there was no crusher. At no point did DCE put any pressure on his neck, in fact Cook landed sideways. Then proceeded to clutch at his neck screaming, after the penalty got up and was fine. It was the best acting to come out of South Sydney since Russell Crowe's wife left him.

Manly tripping players, grabbing and pulling players to the ground without the ball, wild tackles in the air, crusher tackles. Not to mention dumb mistakes like your FB and winger running into each other, missing the shot clock

Seems pretty ill disciplined to me

If you’re happy with Souths’ performance tonight, and aren’t thanking your lucky stars, good luck to you.

I think it's more a question how one team can be perfect for the last 53 minutes of a game. It just isn't possible.
All the penalties in the second half were very blatant penalties, including professional fouls, uprighting a player in the air, missing the shot clock

You’re advocating some good old square up penalties for your team? Maybe the ref goes and finds some weak slow peels and hands on the ball to even the ledger?

Your team was ill disciplined in the second half and the penalty count blew out

It was an entertaining game but both teams were very poor. Almost every try was the result of some embarrassingly inept defence.
Souths targeted Suli in defence, scoring four tries on that side, yet he only managed to make two tackles. Can run the ball though.

I’ve already said multiple times we were shit and Canberra will wipe us out

We were just less shit than you and I’m knocking down your denial that it wasn’t your teams fault and that it was all due to some sort of referee bias

Des was stupid enough to criticise the ref after he lost, as if that’s going to change the result.

Not exactly coach of the year.

$10k fine for being an idiot.

Manly lost because they were a rabble in the last 15 minutes.

All the composure of bellyache after a warranted penalty against his purple merkii

Enjoyable game, wanted Manly to win. Karma got Jake T for getting away with a horrendous lifting tackle a few months back.

Was an excellent derpathon battle between Gagai and Elliot, but Elliot wins. He was truly horrendous in everything he did. Good season though Manly.
