what ever became of the 18 y o Fijian superstar that we signed from the Fijian U/18s Rugby team

he was going to be the next big thing, cant even remember his name

Think he has played a few games for the 20’s this year on the wing ,if it’s the Fijian I am thinking of.

Last off-season? Solomoni Naiduki. Still with us I'm pretty sure. Had a few injuries and teething issues but got better as the season went on.

The Inglis impact will live on at South Sydney.

Ulysses Roberts, 17, the nephew of Rabbitohs champion Greg Inglis has been prized from Parramatta, who originally scouted the talent three years ago.

A utility forward with skill and size, Roberts is also the nephew of former Dragons flyer Amos Roberts.

His departure from the Eels is a blow for the blue and golds, whose recruitment budgets are stretched at the junior level.

Roberts, recently selected to tour England for the NSW Country Under-18s side, has inked a two-year deal with the Rabbitohs.

His recovery from a torn ACL in 2018 to be chosen for the tour is an indication of the teenager’s drive to follow the path of his famous uncles.

The Eels first lured Roberts from Kempsey as a 15-year-old to a series of development camps.

Ulysses captained the Kempsey Sharks United under 15s side at the 2016 Koori Knockout where they were runners up, and was also named in the indigenous under 16s side who played a curtain-raiser to the 2017 NRL All Stars.

Parramatta signed him to a three-year scholarship deal which was originally driven by Inglis through his agent Alan Gainey.

Inglis wanted Roberts to develop his football while continuing his education.

Now the proud Uncle will be able to work closely with Roberts at Souths.

Inglis is set to move into a coaching and marketing role with Souths next year after retiring in 2019.

Roberts will tour the UK with the NSW Country under-18’s from November 15 before linking with Souths for pre-season training.

And to no one's surprise souths sign Ulysses Roberts

Even if there isn't, how much do you want to spend on players who won't play first grade during their next contract and will be going to the highest bidder when that contract ends?

He's done f**k all. If he wasn't related to Greg Inglis or named after a shitty book it wouldn't be news.

Yeah, I don't think we're too concerned about losing someone who never played a proper game for us. And even when he pulled on an Eels jersey, the only time he did so was in a photoshoot and for a trial match.
