Sign him and we take a title. He isn't involved cause they have Tedesco as their main strike weapon.
Carries during the finals:

57 Tedesco
54 Morris
45 Tupou
29 Manu
21 Mitchell

How many of Morris or Tupou's runs could Mitchell have taken if he wasn't squatting out wide sucking in the big ones after the opposition kicks long, or otherwise turns the ball over.

I would throw that money at two decent backrowers rather than Latrell. But imagine Latrell and Sivo playing next to each other. That would send chills down any team

A contract like that would send chills down the spines of all Parra supporters knowing that he will never, ever be worth that sort of money over the full 10 years and create a noose over the neck of our salary cap till we could off load its full value off our books. I call bull crap. Our football trust can't be that insane or desperate.

Now if our club were to offer a similar deal at D. Fifita, that might turn out ok like Taumalolo's seems to be at present. He would still be what, 29-30 at the end of it?

No Doubt Mitchell’s manger is leaking BS to the press and no one gets more clicks than us. The way the club has built its roster the last few seasons this rumour makes no sense at all.

Agree, it's linking Mitchell and making up some outlandish numbers for attention.

In 4 season proper games this year we allowed the opposition to score more than 30 points. Take those games out of the equation and our average points against drops to around 15 per game. If we limited those 4 games alone to 25 points against us (or less) than our defence would have been in the top 4.
So defence overall is okay - just need to tighten up the attitude so a loss doesn't result in a blowout.

FTR: Games where opposition score 30+ points regardless of result
Storm = 0
Roosters = 1
Rabbits = 1
Raiders = 1
Eels = 4
Manly = 2
Sharks = 2
Broncos = 4
Above shows that the good teams generally don't have blowout scores against them. You're right, a better attitude and better leadership will limit those scores.
Did above include 32-0 finals result?

Because improving defence means getting rid of poor defenders (e.g. Paulo and Boyd) and replacing them with good ones (the Poms). He also made two key positional changes that fixed glaring weaknesses - Wighton up into the line, where he is like having an extra centre or edge forward on that left side, and moving Papalii from second row (where he is a liability) to the middle (where he isn't).

In previous years Stuart wanted a pack full of fatties, just like you wanted for us. That's why Canberra's defence was poor.
Funny but BA has agreed with me. He has bought bigger skilful players into the team and guess what, we jagged 5th spot. If he had of persisted with smaller forwards with limited skills we'd be in bottom 8 again, which going from your comment is what you wanted.

Mitchell has already won 2 premierships, dominated in an Origin winning series, done pretty much everything there is to do and he's only 22. This is a guy that has already admitted he's looking forward to finishing up his career and heading back home to retire... It would be idiotic for any club to sign him for 5 years, let alone 10. And it's what also makes Trent Robinson a shrewd operator - nobody else in Rugby league would have a better idea than Robinson about whether Mitchell is a smart long term investment and if Robinson is OK to let him walk, I think it speaks volumes...
Didn't he get dropped from SOO?

He’s a game winner for sure. We just can’t afford to carry that salary for him IMO. We will need another centre soon though.
