Steggles don’t do a bad job either. We’ve been pretty lucky over the years with sponsors who stuck to white-reverse except for Western Union in yellow & black. But since the early 90s, Easts had the ‘V’ cut off (which always pissed me off) to accommodate the sponsor. Steggles have been happy to keep the jersey as close to traditional as you can get with the modern kit.

The chooks home jersey is one of best of all time.

you know what surprised me the other day (yes this is for the other thread sorry) cashies was so synonmyous with Western Reds but they actually only sponsored for 1 season...
ask anyone who sponsored the reds they will say cashies- nobody remembers 96.

95 was cashies, 96 they aligned with super league/went broke so cashies bailed, News bailed them out but couldnt directly sponsor so they got The Sunday Times on there, glued straight over the top (like the Crushers, Reds used the same jerseys for 95 and 96, tight arses..)

News Ltd became the 'default' (for want of a better word) major sponsor for a few teams in 1996 aligned with Super League - the Reds with Sunday Times, Tele Classifieds sponsored Penrith and News Classifieds with Canberra.

Anywayyss, what knucklehead approved a black logo on a white trim shirt. Most of their games are Friday nights, so just go maroon or white anyways. FMD, no wonder why Toyota are using them as toilet paper.
