As every day goes by I more and more have taken on the Wolfpack as my Euro team. I love the combatant attitude. can they drag the English game forward? or are they being selfish upstarts. I for one wish we had a Wolfpack and Marquee rule in the NRL. (mods: wasn't sure if this or the English forum was the right spot so feel free to move)

Already the premiere club in Super League without playing a game.

There’s not really any need for a marque rule in Australia. Sure you could have maybe kept SBW and other Union converts but I don’t know if it’s really worth the pay off of breaking the cap or if it would just encourage players to court union clubs to get a pay rise.
Many would still go for career aspirations though, kiwis having the chance to play for the all blacks is always going to be a career goal.
In England the theory is it allows clubs to get big names in to the sides. Although normally it just allows clubs to extend the caps and get pretty average Aussies in.
