He's very quickly become the victim in all of this. The poor guy had to piss into a bottle. Sounds like every Christmas holiday I ever went on where Dad would refuse to stop the car for a toilet break because he wanted to get to Crescent Head caravan park before the crowds started checking in.

I've never seen such positive spin for a player who f**ked up like this. Even NRL.com is portraying this as "poor David".

Could the Broncos have any more press in their pocket?

Does his "apology cash payment" go towards the salary cap?

his own cash apparently

Boom Broncos forward David Fifita was forced to pay $30,000 out of his own pocket to secure his freedom from a Bali cell on Monday afternoon.
A typical peace agreement — which is commonplace in the Balinese legal system and is signed by police and an alleged victim to allow charges against an arrested civilian to be dropped — usually costs the person behind bars about $10,000.

He won’t be punished further, because he obviously just fell victim to extortion. As if that little merkin security guard would be alive if Fifita decided to go him, not a mark on the bloke for f**k sake

Forced to lol. A whole $30k for a player on hundreds of thousands, had to use a bottle to pss. Gosh my heart is bleeding for this poor Australian who has been treated so poorly. He probably even marked his hand punching the guy in the face. Is there no limit to the adversity poor NRL players have to face?
