Apparently Bronson Xerri wants out of the Sharks. Now that would be an awesome signing to fix our centre shortage.

It is reported by Buzz though, so probably a load of shit. Has anyone read the article, or able to get around the firewall, to see if its says why he wants out of the Sharks?

Seriously don't want a petulant child like this in our squad

SOUR XERRI

Boom centre Bronson Xerri still wants out at Cronulla but is unlikely to find a new home at the Sydney Roosters with best mate Kyle Flanagan.

We can reveal a third party has contacted the Roosters offering Xerri for next year. Apparently he’s prepared to do a ‘Ryan Matterson’ and walk out on the Sharks.

The Roosters are reluctant. They have already earmarked two players to step into Latrell Mitchell’s spot at left centre — boom youngster Billy Smith or Brett Morris.

Xerri is apparently not happy about Jesse Ramien’s signing on much more money than he’s earning. Many rate Xerri a future Origin player.

Thanks for posting the article. That sucks for Cronulla if it is just about Ramien getting paid more than him. The whole Ryan Matterson situation is going to create a lot of problems for clubs going forward, unless the NRL finds a way to deal with this.

Who really wants to sign a bloke that’s not willing to fight for his spot.

I agree and he has something we don’t have a much of, Speed!!! And lots of it.
Agree also. This young bloke had to fight for his position while Morris and Dugan were bitching in the background. He established himself as star on the way up and then Cronulla put the boot in and bring back the bloke he relaced. I would be pissed too.

Interesting that many Sharks fans don't seem to rate Xerri as highly as non-sharks fans. Seem to want Dugan & Morris in the centres.

He has feet for hands. He bombed numerous tries this year through poor ball control.
If he bided his time and learnt off Morris for another year or 2 it would be a big benefit to him.

Looking at the stats... Josh Dugan had the most errors in the NRL. 38 errors in 23 games. For an average of 1.7 per game. If feet for hands was an issue, why would they orefer Dugan?

Sharks average error leaders were:
Dugan - 1.7 per game
Moylan - 1.7 per game
Mulitalo - 1.3 per game
Katoa - 1.1 per game

Xerri isn't inside the top 50 for errors made per game or total.

He is up there for 13 tries scored, 9 try assists, 88 tackle breaks, 14 linebreaks and 11 linebreak assists.

He's not perfect. But ticks a few boxes no one else at the club does. Fixing by far our weakest position. The assists are the most impressive area of his game IMO.

Do we really need someone with that attitude? If that reason is true then I’d be sticking well clear of him

Xerri would be amazing for us but there are a lot of whispers that the roosters are interested.

If they want him they will get him.

Fair points
My observations are him costing me fantasy points as I recall him dropping the pill a few times with the line open.
Maybe his handling isn't as bad as I thought.
