Well , as I have suggested the committee method of negotiations is an issue, let's be honest BA signed 5 decent players last season without the need for HOF and committees. It's impacted on juniors and can't see it as a major success so far, too beauraucratic and lengthy. As they said a single person designed the horse, the committee went away with the same brief and returned with the design for a camel.

Hopefully we get good news re Dylan, Reed even Mennings , just need things completed not discussed
And how’d did the team travel whilst BA was juggling coaching and recruiting?

But then I read it all, if we do lose Brown the whole Recruitment & retention team should be sacked.

Ronnie mixing it up with your attack last season.

We gotta stop him giving opposition sides drinks next season...he’s looks just plain lost.

Salmon ought to tell him where he is!

The playing future of Parramatta young gun Dylan Brown could be resolved in the next 24 hours as the Eels attempt to avert rival NRL clubs meeting the teenage playmaker.
The Eels have told Fox Sports a recruitment and retention committee meeting on Monday is hopeful of putting the club’s best offer to Brown and locking the playmaker up long-term.

Provided the Eels management can crunch the correct numbers, the blue and gold faithful are expected to be celebrating securing one of the NRL’s most exciting prospects.
But if they can’t, rival NRL clubs are queued-up to enter the equation.

Fox Sports has learned there are meetings locked in with rival clubs for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week.

The situation is a huge call for Eels powerbrokers who have been under pressure over the course of the last 12 months for the way they’ve handled contract negotiations.

Chairman Sean McElduff, new CEO Jim Sarantinos, head of football Mark O’Neill, coach Brad Arthur and recruitment manager Peter Sharp all form the Eels recruitment and retention committee.

^^^^^ so typical of player managers. They arrange to meet on Monday (yesterday) to nut out a deal, then go to the media to tell them that they are meeting with other clubs the days following.
