In an even competition, every club should win a comp in a roughly 16 year period. In the last 16 years only five clubs haven't won a premiership, and one of those was in this year's grand final, so it's fairly even.

Yeah, but we aren’t one of those clubs so it’s not fair.

They look like they get along ok in that photo.
In NSW we have mandatory reporting. So a phone call to the police in a heated moment might snowball into anything. These things adopt their own momentum and in some cases charges are laid even when the victim wishes otherwise.

I though mandatory reporting was only for child abuse / neglect? What other types of mandatory reporting are there?

Police can also issue temporary AVOs irrespective of the victim’s wishes.

Health staff have an obligation to report serious DV matters. This is from the DV Policy...

In saying that, a duty of care to report is likely to exist whether it’s a domestic situation or not.

The Tigers may finally have a reason to get rid of his ridiculously expensive contract now.
When’s the court date? Might get dragged out a while. And it’s a 5 year max sentence so doesn’t fall in the ‘no fault stand down rule’.

Doesnt the no fault stand down policy allow Greenberg to enact it at his own discretion, in addition to 10 year max sentence condition?

There is good reason for this tough stance against merkin men.

KEY FACTS
The following basic statistics help demonstrate the prevalence and severity of violence against women:
  • On average, one woman a week is murdered by her current or former partner.1
  • 1 in 3 Australian women have experienced physical violence since the age of 15.2
  • 1 in 5 Australian women has experienced sexual violence.3
  • 1 in 6 Australian women has experienced physical or sexual violence by current or former partner.4
  • 1 in 4 Australian women has experienced emotional abuse by a current or former partner.5
  • Australian women are nearly three times more likely than men to experience violence from an intimate partner.6
  • Australian women are almost four times more likely than men to be hospitalised after being assaulted by their spouse or partner.7
  • Women are more than twice as likely as men to have experienced fear or anxiety due to violence from a former partner.8
  • More than two-thirds (68%) of mothers who had children in their care when they experienced violence from their previous partner said their children had seen or heard the violence.9
  • Almost one in 10 women (9.4%) have experienced violence by a stranger since the age of 15.10
  • Young women (18 – 24 years) experience significantly higher rates of physical and sexual violence than women in older age groups.11
  • There is growing evidence that women with disabilities are more likely to experience violence.12
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women report experiencing violence in the previous.12 months at 3.1 times the rate of non-Indigenous women.13
  • In 2014–15, Indigenous women were 32 times as likely to be hospitalised due to family violence as non-Indigenous women.14

Possibly. But then what is the point of the 10 year sentence ruling if it can be enforced whenever Todd wants? Just make it, "The no fault stand down rule can be enforced for any charge at the discretion of Todd Greenburg"

I wonder if SKD, Hazem El Mazri (if he was still playing) or Semi would have been stood down if this rule was in place?

I’m pretty sure Greenberg used his discretion to stand down Dylan Walker this year. On the surface the cases seem similar.
