As much as we pay out a flat track bully like Hayden, someone like him would smashed Wagner all over the park on these pitches, nobody’s been willing to have a go

Yep.
As much as no batsman likes short stuff every ball, bowlers and captains dont much like going for 12 an over either.
Wagner has been allowed to dictate terms, (thanks Wally.)

Sure wish we had some more flat track bullies, Straya would have been on top well beyond 2007 if that was the case.

Bashed out of the side by good quicks, only able to make a career when they were gone. Averaged far less in swinging conditions. Good against spin though, which many openers aren't, but he was pretty much the archetypal flat track bully
