I bet you Finch and Richardson can't wait to get out of Australia and away from the Renegades environment after the team's absymal form this season.

In the old BBL format (before it expanded to a full home-and-away season), day games were predominantly played only on weekends, and they were at a later time (4:10pm start).

IMO, day games starting at 2:45/3:30pm should either only be held in places with cooler climates such as Tasmania, or outside of the main cities. Hosting them in 42 degree heat inAlice Springs is farcical. Also, the larger venues such as SCG/MCG/Gabba would be difficult to attract big crowds at that time, when there's plenty of other things families living in the major cities can do during the day such as going to the beach, shopping etc. Those larger venues are mainly suited to hosting games in the primetime 7pm AEDST slot.

I understand matches on Jan 14 and 17 starting at 3:40pm, as CA don't want it clashing with the ODIs in India, but the final ODI on Jan 19 clashes with the Heat vs Renegades BBL match though.

If they want to have day games, they should exclusively be on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. They can even do a triple header on Sundays if that’s the path they want to go down. And they sure as f**k shouldn’t be held in any of the five main test grounds as they’re far too f**king big for a game when most of their audience is in the office.

It’s also about 34 degrees currently in Adelaide, but it’ll be about 25 by 7.10. What moron decided that this weather in a period after business opens back up was a good time for a cricket match.

Why must this sport be run by such total potatoes?

Not sure about triple headers (too much cricket in a day, TBH), but I agree with day games being restricted to weekends and public holidays, and outside of the 5 major metros in Australia.

What's even more laughable is playing a 3 match ODI series vs New Zealand in mid-March when Round 1 of the NRL season commences! Whoever thought that was a smart idea needs to resign effective immediately.

The sport will always be run by potatoes who are only interested in lining up their own pockets. So much potential, but always falling oh so close.

I guarantee you that more people will watch a Sunday triple header than a day game on a weekday - which I have just discovered is a Fox exclusive game. Even fewer viewers! Well done CA!

They’ve just tried to claim in commentary that there’s 18,000 at the ground.

If they counted all the patrons, staff, and people walking by the stadium four times each, maybe.

Most are in the shade which doesn't get picked up a lot by the cameras as they are to the side eg chappell stands is quite full

Chris Green banned

https://www.news.com.au/sport/crick...n/news-story/9a7990654b12097b33b7c2593083b391

Cricket Australia has confirmed Sydney Thunder star Chris Green has been banned from the rest of the Big Bash.

The star spinner has been stood down from Wednesday night’s Big Bash clash with the high-flying Melbourne Stars and has been rubbed out for the remainder of the Aussie summer.

Fox Sports’ Tom Morris reported on Wednesday afternoon the ban has already been implemented and will see Green serve 90 days on the sidelines before he can next prove that his bowling action is not against the laws of the game.
