True that,
Bennett has long gone soar.
McGregor stocks are still rising ................... like the smell of a fresh caca.

In all Honesty, the sooner mcGregor is gone the quicker we can undo all the damage he has created.

The board have a lot to answer for....Clubs who are successful demand success...just look at the Rabbitohs...macguire won them a premiership and he was gone after 5 years...they now have bennett...

The Clueless mob in charge of our club had Price for 2 & 1/2 years and now mcgregor is 5 & 1/2 years and counting...that's INSANITY or STUPIDITY....

Correct, the Board has a lot to answer for, but continuously sprouking a "coaching dynasty" and "career coach" leads to only 1 conclusion and that is the "pigs in troughs" scenario. Yes, in theory this was to follow rhe model of the Storm with Bellamy a career coach. Unfortunately, Bellamy is also a successful coach and mentor and not a muppet. The thinking, he'll come good, is just laziness and too much effort and time required to make a tough decision and then do the groundwork to actually oversee success. The same idiology has been/will be applied to the new CEO. It even took an outsider (Gould) to point out glaring deficiencies in our culture and playing style.

Once Mc85 is finally gone, maybe then, with the right approach we may yet achieve the dynasty those "pigs" so richly desire.

Spot on... there is so much more to it....in regards to the Board...common knowledge among those in the game ...and add to it this comment...from choc...

https://forums.leagueunlimited.com/threads/adam-doueihi.479115/page-2

We have massive issues all across the board ( no pun intended )...Best case scenario is a ruthless Dictator buying the club and demanding success...but alas the Board would probably knock back the offer knowing they would be the 1st ones to be shown the door.

Addo Carr would probably be my first pick if we could sign any winger in the comp right now.
Mary got rid of B Morris who was on 400k - 500k giving the reason that he was over priced at the time. I can't see him or Millward wanting a high priced winger when we have so many young outside backs coming through. Our biggest problem in the backline is the centre pairing. What we will need in 2021- if Lomax goes well at fullback - is a couple of good centres. Hopefully in 2020 our centres and all players for that matter, will be picked on form.

There was more to the morris scenario...read the link I provided above...it spells it all out for you...straight from the mouth of a player from an opposing club...this is what i have been going on about ...

anyway, have a good evening possm.

And so it will continue with a huge push from within for Dean young .
Hope Flanno is strong enough and wants to stay

And what about halfbacks? Who’s the best halfback in the game right now?
I rate Cherry the best halfback in the comp. He can organise and also has a good running game. I have always been a fan of Cherry. I think that Norman can be the best organising halfback in the comp, if he is played in that position. I think Moses will have a big year. Parra look to have a pretty strong roster and Moses could even push for origin this year. I like Cleary, but Penrith don't look to have a strong roster this year.

And if we complete the spine, who’s the best hooker in the game at the moment?
Smith would still be rated the best hooker in the game and the best hooker to have ever played the game by many, but if I could take any hooker in the game right now, it would be Cook. He is so dangerous from dummy half and he can also ball play from that position.

Taumalolo is obviously the best lock in the game. Murray is a very good young lock who has a lot of strings to his bow. DeBelin was the form forward in the comp in the first half of 2017 and 2018, before he sustained injuries both years. If he is found not guilty, he could be the second best lock in the game. I also rate Pangai very highly and think he will have a big season this year. That is a very impressive list of locks.

I think Haas is already a standout for best prop in the game. Andrew Fifita would be my next pick. Papalii finished off last season in unbelievable form. He would probably be my number 3 prop. I think Fonua Blake is also in the top 4 props in the game right now.

I rate David Fifita the best second rower in the game and he will get better. I thought Tariq Sims was the form second rower in the comp in 2018. He played with an injury for most of last season. If he can recapture his 2018 form, he can be the second best second rower in the game. I like Crichton. I think he has the potential to be in the top back rowers in the game, playing for Easts can only help his chances, as long as he gets to play 80 minutes. Kikau is another who had a good 2018, but had injuries last year and was playing in an under performing team. He is a great strike weapon to have on the edge.

As I have previously mentioned, I would like to see us start the year off with Ramsey and Saab as our wingers. I would also like to see the best of the Feagai twins fast tracked to first grade. We are wasting our time continuing with Aitken and Lafai. At least blooding Feagai could be an investment for the future. I am aware that with Feagai, Ramsey, Saab and Lomax we would have 4 very inexperienced outside backs, but they may be out best option. Addo Carr would be the best winger we could sign.

Xerri has already been linked to Easts. I am hoping that Flanno can be the lure for us to sign Xerri.

Who would you rate as the best no.14 in the game right now?

If he couldn't make my starting line up Ponga would be my best number 14. He can play fullback, 5/8 and could cover centre or wing fine. He even acquitted himself very well playing lock for Qld in 2018 and could probably cover edge backrower if needed too. He is already one of the best players in the game.

But Ponga already has a starting gig every week..

What I’m looking for is which player who regularly comes off the bench in no.14 would be considered the best in that role right now?

I think Morris was on 600 to 650K a year. He and Nightingale were 2 of our highest paid players. I am not a fan of having wingers as some of our highest paid players. Canterbury then offered B Morris the fullback spot and more money and he took up the offer.

I just read that Souths may not take up the option of resigning Mitchell for 800K a year. I rate him the number 1 centre in the game. I would be happy for us to sign him for 700 to 750K a year on the current salary cap. I would rather him than Suli, but Suli may already be a done deal.

I bet Mitchell is now wishing he took the 800K a year that Easts originally offered him at the end of last season.

Lomax does not look like a natural fullback to me, I would like to be proven wrong. There are some utility players who make a good fist of fullback, but it is really a specialist position. It is the last line of defense, requires precise positional play, ability to attack from the back and many other things.

Sorry but I wouldn’t touch him, except with a set of weight scales!
He looked good in a great premiership Roosters team, but I’d like to see how he looked with the Titans!
