Douehi is not in training camp with the boys on the South Coast. Apparently he has been given leave to think about his future. I'm hearing that the storm and rorters are a possibility along with the tigers if course. If he goes to storm we will get JAC no risk. More twists and turns in the next couple of weeks:fearful:
Doueihi is rumoured to be on good money so to be honest with you I'd rather stay and play in reggies with Souths.

Well fellas, you guys are just as much in the dark with what your management is doing with recruiting players as what our is...just seems laughable now. Hope it is sorted one way or the other soon, I'd like our team sorted so players get a good pre-season under their belt, I'm sure you'd feel the same.

Just one other comment, your backs look pretty good this year. If your forwards can hold their own you'll have a pretty good year....good luck.

No thanks to Packer.

If the Tigers want Douiehi they’ll have to pay it all bar what we’ve paid him so far.

As for Goodwin I’m hearing some say he staying and then some say he’s going.

As for Arrow who knows, but I’m losing hope as each day passes by.

I think we need to recruit players who have more potential. These guys are past their best

Last I checked Lachlan Timm from StG hasn’t been signed. Best forward in the Canterbury Cup all year. Second in metres gained. First in tackles. McGregor wouldn’t give him a run in firsts.
Under Bennett he could be very good.
Pretty sure he is a train and trial contract with us, the last I heard.

From the Daily Telegraph,

Wests Tigers ready to offer Joey Leilua a lucrative deal, but leave Adam Doueihi hanging

Wests Tigers are on the verge of finalising a lucrative deal that will keep Joey Leilua – but are ready to snub South Sydney young gun Adam Doueihi for the sake of $350,000.

While Wests Tigers close in on signing the volatile Joey Leilua to a lucrative deal, the exciting Adam Doueihi has been left standing in the cold amid concern he is being short-changed.

Leilua could make the move from Canberra to Concord this week in a deal that will pocket the rampaging centre $1.8 million over three years.

But the Tigers’ hopes of also signing South Sydney young gun Doueihi are not nearly as positive at this point after they were said to baulk at paying Doueihi just over $350,000 for this year.

Doueihi is on a reported $500,000 for 2020 although the Rabbitohs have already chipped in more than $150,000 just through monthly salary instalments since November.

Most would probably deem that makes Doueihi an absolute bargain for a 21-year-old who is equally comfortable playing fullback, five-eighth or centre.

Souths are saying they don’t need to move Doueihi to stay under the salary cap this year so if the Tigers want him they can pay what he is worth.

It is believed another Sydney club is also interested in Doueihi while Melbourne is a potential option, although Doueihi has indicated that he doesn’t want to leave Sydney.

Meanwhile, Canberra will pitch in about $400,000 of Leilua’s $700,000-plus contract for 2020 with the Tigers then expected to pay Leilua $500,000 for 2021 and $600,000 for 2021.

Negotiations almost fell over on Wednesday when the Tigers apparently threatened to take their offer off the table but those problems related to a $100,000 discrepancy which was smoothed over later in the day.

The parties were believed to be back working on trying to finalise a deal on Wednesday night.

If it eventuates it will be a welcome boost for the Tigers after they missed out on signing Latrell Mitchell and Jai Arrow 1 over the summer.

While Leilua is regarded as one of the NRL’s most temperamental players, there is no disputing he is also one of the most dangerous and can provide the Tigers with exactly the type of x-factor they desperately need.

The Tigers are trying to sell it publicly as if they are not panicking to land a significant signing but if they miss out on Leilua or Doueihi it could be a huge opportunity missed.

It is understandable the Tigers are keen to sign both players for a bargain rate given some of the dud deals they have done in recent years.

But the Tigers can also ill-afford another season to go by where they fall short of a top eight target given they own the NRL’s longest finals drought having not made the play offs since 2012.

I love this quote from James Hooper @ Fox

https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...1/news-story/88b81af2475f001d43b24bdcd24c3b4d

...."As much as the Tigers are attempting to do the right thing salary cap-wise by playing hard ball with BJ Leilua and Adam Doueihi, the time for trying to cut dollars in half is done."
....."From an outside perspective, it looks a simple negotiation.
Trouble is, the Tigers have been making the simple look like four-unit Algebra for way too long now."

Shame on you for not getting past year 6.
This is you isn't it?

Quote:
Latrell is one of the best players in the comp. He is easily the best rooster. He is lethal and most defences can’t handle him.

He scores about 150 pts per season. He can kick. He is fit, strong and very clever.

Latrell will be one of the greatest players of all time.

Latrell is a cool customer, players enjoy his company. if he joins us, all players will lift 10 percent at a minimum and we become a destination club.

His decision would wipe that ugly poncey self loving smirk off Tedescos face forever.

Latrell has been not circle jerking around eastern suburbs lentil late houses this week, watching nsw burn- he has been fighting fires all week with in Taree with his family.

Latrell is worth $1.1m plus third parties because his signing will deliver unto us, a top 4 position with 2 years at the latest.

Madge and Latrell will get on because Madge is an excellent communicator.

The roosters withdrew their offer because Latrell stood up for himself and they don’t like that. If you aren’t on your knees for robbo and nick, pursing your lips, they don’t like you.

Let’s get this done Tiges and give this brilliant youngster a club that gives a shiz about him. Let’s give him fans that will talk him up instead of hating on him half the time.

Destination tigers, bring it on.

LOL, that's pure gold
