Well Shaq was the finals mvp 3 years in a row for the Lakers when they 3-peated with Kobe on the team. Kobe def wasn’t carrying those teams. They hadn't won anything before Shaq got there.

What's contribution to the Lakers was immense - immeasurable, maybe -, and I don't mean to denigrate his accomplishments in any way, because he is a Lakers, and NBA, legend.
