I'm convinced Reynolds is a douchebag and Sivo is at least a sex pest who isn't good for the club's brand. Either could end up convicted. But Reynolds' ex is also obviously a scumbag, especially in light of all her bullshit and scamming, but she will avoid censure for the simple fact that being a merkin isn't a crime.

The matter before the court is that he is accused of DV. She is not on trial. If she can demonstrate culpability then he will be found guilty. Even if provocation is demonstrated, it will impact on the sentencing only bc of diminished responsibility.

Her reliability as a witness because of her past may not even matter if she shared details of the assault with credible witnesses and/or sought medical attention.

Her reputation is definitely on trial in the court of public opinion. Reynolds is also on trial in this court but he is also in the hands of the justice system. So I am unconcerned with him. He will get what he deserves.

It has got nothing to do with the common law and the doctrine of precedent. The only way that public opinion should come into play is when it motivates decisions in the legislature.

It public opinion plays a role in this case, then the smear has done it’s job.

So why are you ok with the chick releasing that vid to the public to try and smear Reynolds name (which you posted here and gave it to Reynolds by saying ‘not his go’) but not ok with her having her credentials brought up and questioned in public? What’s the difference?
