Still waiting on a crowd figure for the match at Adelaide last night, but I will say that for a weekend (Saturday night), it looked well below par. It was only a few years ago the Adelaide Strikers got 53k sell-out and 48k for home semi-final matches there. Definitely looked less than half that amount last night.

Official attendance on Saturday night was 15963.

Compared to home finals crowds of 52633, 48699, 36298, and 40732 in previous years, 15963 is pathetic!

If Saturday night is a washout, who wins the tournament?

Weather forecast from Thursday onwards looks like Sydney will receive more than 2 months worth of rain in a few days.

Surely the Sixers would win the tournament if it is a draw.

Yesterday they were forecasting up to 45 mm of rain for Saturday. That has now been downgraded to 25 mm. The rain will probably evaporate before it gets here.

It only took 9 years for CA to kill its golden goose. Sometimes less is more, the comp is full of club cricketers and even most of the imports are absolutely plop.

How is there no reserve day.

Do the idiots at CA not realise that, as it’s only Tuesday, they can very easily still announce that in the event of a washout they can declare Wednesday or Friday a reserve day?

Loving the 10,100 crowd announcement at the SCG tonight. No way there was more than 8000 there.

It’s a real shame. Before the weather intervened, there was a genuine chance it was going to be a full house.
