Good to see bailey antrobus in the cc side from the limited amount i have seen him play he looks to be very promising.i think at times i have seen him play it was at centre and even on the wing interesting to see him named in the backrow.he is very big,fast and extremely fit i think he could play 1st grade sooner rather later we'll just see how he goes against men although he may have played cc last year i could be wrong but i do think he shows a great deal of promise.
Also does anyone remember the big red haired frontrower who played flegg last year that there was big raps on i forget his name but i would recognize it if it was there I'm pretty sure it's not.He is probably another we have lost from the so called nursery but a little help with the name would be appreciated.
It will be interesting to see how the feagai boys go the wings if the wraps are correct they could even be putting pressure on the first grade boys and also young gillard at fullback i like what i have seen of him.Anyway time will tell where these players are headed or not....

Group Seven products dominate Dragons' squads for trial matches


A HOST of Group Seven products will don the Red V this Saturday in Maitland, after the St George Illawarra Dragons announced their Jersey Flegg and Canterbury Cup trial squads.

The big afternoon of footy at the Maitland No. 1 Sportsground will kick-off at 1.30pm, when Willie Talau's Jersey Flegg battle the Newcastle Knights.

Headlining Talau's 22-player squad will be Warilla-Lake South's Callum Gromek, Blake Dowel, Duke Grant and Oscar Fitzpatrick, Berry-Shoalhaven Heads' Billy Hayburn and Ollie Parrish, Gerringong's Denver Ford and Hamish Holland, Albion Park-Oak Flats' Jack Walsh and Jay Weaver and Milton-Ulladulla's Tarje Whitford.

Following that match, Mat Head's Canterbury Cup side, featuring Kiama's Cam Vazzoler and Luke Chalker, Shellharbour's Jayden Morgan and Nowra-Bomaderry's Jason Gillard - as well as Batemans Bay's Treigh Stewart will take on the Knights.

These two matches will act as curtain-raisers to the first grade match between the Dragons and Knights from 7.30pm, which will seefour Group Seven juniors in Paul McGregor's squad.
