The lack of an experienced forward leader is pretty concerning though. Not that it really mattered to us last year, but our forward pack is basically still just a bunch of kids. If we can somehow medically retire Packer I’d throw the kitchen sink at Frizell or atleast some rep level forward

Agree, but who is available. This is a left field suggestion but what about getting serious with the Eels and get Utoikamanu over, (pay his fee) though he has no experience (and wasn't overly impressive in the nines of the bits I watched, imo) but adds another huge body, the other forwards were basically holding there own last season and they are another season older. Still confident we will bend the line & get going forward.

yoyd be surprised. Why do you think teams can get belted one week then turn it around completely the following. Footy is as much mental as it is physical presence these days

Eels won’t budge imo and they don’t need to. But it’ll be pretty gold watching him develop knowing he’ll be in our colours next year

As much as a lot of Sharks fans were frustrated with Gal gumming up the works at times he was priceless as a leader ( by example) for that club

This is a big problem. We have Reynolds, Mbye & Walters who may all be duds. Then we have Liddle who is injured and Simpkins who may be too young and not ready yet.

It's a worry. To add to that that Grant kid from the storm wants to come here. I hope we get him.

Yeah, so we get Harry Grant this year, Packer gets medically retired enabling us to get Frizzel (also next year)
Then with $300,000 more to spend when our salary cap restraints are removed plus extra cash lying around we get J A C.

After all that falls into place I buy advanced tickets for next years Grand Final plus a hotel room near the ground for a week because I will be in no condition to drive home.
