I did say he could play it. Took over a few times mid game in lower grades and went well

Aekins has a bit of work in front of him, Laurie was very solid and creighton also displayed a bit of strength and threat at the back.
It’s really good to see some solid competition for spots.

I don’t mind that option at all, I also wouldn’t be unhappy to see creighton at fb and Burns and Naden in the centre’s.
Burns has some real talent.

I was thinking the same thing coming home from the game. Much better at doing the little things compared to 12 months ago

Nothing that I saw. A few pulled out but should play next week

Solid hit out by us. But it was a pretty weak Tigers side so it's hard to be too pumped by it.

That said the only try scored by them was another referee shocker. Should have been a NIL scoreline against us. Which is good to see.

Most importantly we seemed to get through unharmed. So far so good in risking strong rosters at 9s and first trial.

Burton looks like the real deal .
Still early in his career but he’s skills are top notch
The short dropouts he did were brilliant
Naden also was looking like he has improved his game

Looking at that Tigers side. Douehi, Reynolds, Chee Kam. Eisenhuth, Leilua, Talau will play round one. So was no weaker than ours we just have better depth
