77% of our Dairy industry is now foreign owned.
Try raw milk processing. Dairys are still mainly owned by mum and dad operators. The recent chinese purchase was already from foreign owned San Miguel(?). No difference to Nestle or Danone or Kraft owning a zillion brands each.

The Ag minister said the other day that our ag industry makes enough food for 75 million people, so exporting is part of sustainability of merkins on the land.

And I'm guessing whatever stats were being quoted included Fonterra. We send plenty of shit back to NZ.

When you say "recent purchase" do you mean Lion? If so, that was from Kirin, a Japanese company.
