I was out at Henson park today watching the games and I think Ryde will go very close to taking it out again. And they had players missing. Hills should of dominated in SS and RMC with the teams they had. They had about 15+ come back from Souths down to Hills and they also have some playing in the A grade trials, which would be so degrading for them.
From team lists only looked like 5 or 6 dropping down from souths?
Very wet day so hard to judge teams on today. Ryde Eastwood looked like they were slick with the ball

Yeah from the team lists there’s only 5-6 and there about 8-9 playing in the A grade trials that are meant to be on tomorrow depending on weather.

8 or 9 who can't make Souths u20s top 17? They will probably even struggle in A Grade. Look at Moorebank yesterday with 10 Bulldogs players who can't make Canterbury Flegg. It's rare that a player not good enough for Flegg can handle Sydney Shield level so A Grade or u23s is where they belong.

Sharkie Army Gorillas RMC experts what you hearing about today’s heavyweight clash Asquith v St Marys. And what’s your thoughts on the RMC Fixtures that have been played so far.

The Belrose vs Guildford SS game has now been updated.

Belrose had Jamie Buhrer, Josh Martin, Josh Nicholls, Vinny Ngaro and Terry Taia in the forwards but look a bit thin in the backline apart from Jake Pickering. They have picked up Lachlan Armstong, who played a few games for Mounties last year.

Guildford had RMC regulars Jack Wheelhouse, Aaron Grech and Caleb Hunt and the third Wheelhouse brother has joined the club after playing in the Ryde Eastwood GF last year.

RMC

St Marys 44 Asquith 32
Mounties 30 Blacktown 4

It was a high octane game at St Marys, very fast paced, back and forth, as 7 tries were scored in the first half to give Asquith a 24-18 lead. Another try and penalty goal saw Asquith increase their lead to 32-18 in the first 8 minutes of the second half. 2 unconverted tries narrowed the gap to 32-26 with 23 minutes left, There was no change for the next 10 minutes and when Rudolph secured another 6 tackles 10 metres out from the St Marys line, Toby committed a professional foul which was followed by a brain snap from Rudolph, who was sent off. As part of the drama the referee failed to give Toby 10 minutes in the bin, and St Marys proved very effective against 12, running in 3 tries in 10 minutes.

Kurt Falls played so St Marys had 8 from last years GF and McKendry, Pelesasa, Fitzgibbon and Dokinavalu proved to be valuable additions. Asquith will need 3 new players next week as Epa Navale was taken out of the game in the early minutes in a similar tackle to that which ended Luke O'Donnell's career and Kiel was carried off near the end of the game

SS

St Marys 20 Asquith 16
Blacktown 24 Windsor 10
East Campbelltown 59 Brothers 6

Asquith were unable to secure the points even with 5 players from the Norths NSW Cup squad. Nothing has changed at Brothers and it appears that Jake Foster is going to be a non playing coach

There have been no cases of COVID 19 detected in Fiji but anyone who returns to Fiji from overseas now has to self isolate for 14 days so maybe the Silktails will have to relocate to Cronulla.

Yes Petero C and the rest of the Fiji officials will be very pleased, especially after they trailed 16-6 in the first quarter of the game. Windsor may show some improvement when Brendan Waters, Cowan Epere, Josh Fraser, Brock Pelligra and James Merceski are included in the side but I think todays Windsor team would get flogged by the Asquith SS side.

Glebe Burwood had a good result, beating Hills District 12-4. Hills included 4 from the Souths NSW Cup squad in their team. Wenty were their own worst enemy in an unconvincing 18-14 win over Cabra. Wenty had 6 scoring opportunities in the first half but only converted one and in the second half had 3 tries disallowed. Ethan Parry, from the Eels top 30, had a good game for Wenty, scoring 2 tries and having another disallowed while Danny Fualalo played the full 80 minutes for Cabra, continually making ground with the ball, hitting in defence and throwing a few nice offloads. Although Wenty's finishing was inept, they were brutal in defence for most of the game. Expect Frank Pritchard to be playing by round 6.

In SS

In addition to the Ryde Eastwood result this morning:

Hills 24 beat University 20
Belrose 20 drew with Guildford 20
Wenty 28 beat Cabramatta 16

Shaq Mitchell played SS for Hills. Belrose blew a 16-0 lead and only grabbed a point by scoring in the final 30 seconds of the game. Jake Pickering scored 2 tries and as would be expected, Josh Martin played well but it is all a bit hazy as the officials did not turn on the computer. Troy Errington certainly did not play for Guildford as he played SS for Wenty tonight. As expected Cabra had 5 players from the RMC game back up in SS.
Congrats to the fiji boys for their first up win. After going to half time at 16 all. Apparently Windsor’s ball control in the second half was terrible, they kept handing over the ball early in the tackle count.
But saying the asquith SS would flogg the team Windsor rolled for RMC is probably a bit of a stretch considering asquith got done by St Marys yesterday in SS.

Great idea, but where’s the funding coming from??
Also what about the PNG boys in the QLD cup???

Asquith blew it in SS. 2 guys with 400 NRL and super league games between them, 5 guys from the Norths NSW Cup squad and another 5 RMC regulars and they couldn't win.

Most of Mary's tries were against the run of play. Intercepts, drop balls and quick counter attacks etc. All three officials missed the most blatant of knock ons at the end of the first half for their second try.

That being said, it shouldn't have come down to that given the experience in the Asquith team. Looked like a big gap between their senior and junior players.

There was one NSW Cup player, John Tuivaiti. Jubilee Soloa is Asquith's. Steadman, Masoe and Westcott are all u20s from last year and have never played men before. They haven't even played Ron Massey Cup yet so are not NSW cup players. Worrincy hasn't played for 5years and Manu is 39. A bit of perspective is needed.

PNG have stayed in Australia - the QRL is meeting tomorrow.

Sadly NSWRL aren't talking much.

Some of the Silktails lived and trained in Cronulla this summer. ScoMo has provided an open cheque book for this operation under the foreign aid budget.

Ok thats great. Lets hope they move their squad to cronulla for the next few months until this bullshit is finished.

Panta man perspective is Asquith lost both games to St Marys after leading. Are you suggesting poor recruitment in signing Worrincy and Manu surely not. Haven’t played against men yet ? Go home after game oh Mum I tackled a man with a beard

Many of the u20s thrust into SS at the beginning of the year or coming out of u20s have not played open age football.
There is a huge difference and the comment bore relevance That goes across many clubs just not Asquith who I am told are getting many of the Norths u20s pushed upon them, which is not going to end well

Bares no relevance at all feret. Ryde Eastwood SS 2019 Prem’s S G Ball u20’s Wests Tigers kids. Bores relevance to an excuse for losing.
