The Narks will probably sail out to sea.
The Dragons will probably be reinvented as the South Coast Dragons or the Southern Saints.

Whatever happens, as long as they don’t add any further colours to our famous Red V!
There has to be a St.George involvement They can't be allowed to rewrite history or take our colours and pretend . So if it's the Steelers only then goodbye farewell and goodluck.

This is an extreme scenario and highly unlikely but imagine if in some bizarre twist of fate the NRL collapsed and Rugby Yawnion survived and the Super Rugby clubs all picked the absolute cream of the crop from the NRL like Payne Haas, Tommy T, Tedesco, Damien Cook etc how good would the Wallabies become.

lets just hope that businesses can bounce back quickly and NOBODY loses their job for an extended period . Its pretty well unchartered waters for the world and we need to get through it best we can . As someone mentioned all those with very large mortgages will find it rather hard with the threat of businesses closing. and trying to keep isolated as best they can. football must take a backseat whilst this virus takes its course. and as mentioned maybe at the other end we can get a realistic wage happening not these over inflated contracts we have now. Anyway fingers crossed for every body out there ..

Is it time to raise the money and buy the name and licence?

Crowd funding here we come

$10,000,000-$20,000,000 is probably what we need

10,000-20,000 supporters at $1,000 per share

Well that’s it folks....the game cannot go on. More important issues to deal with & may you and all your loved ones be safe, be careful and be thoughtful in getting thru to the other side. Good luck & footy will return at some point, maybe a bit different, but as long as we all survive together.

The question here is even though "at the other end we can get a realistic wage happening not these inflated contracts we have now" is it not still a problem for several bottom of the table clubs to have difficulty in getting players they want to come to the club unless higher payments are offered?

If I were the new CEO id be looking to get out and back into the corporate world if I had some kind of cooling off period. You have to feel for the bloke, very bad timing.
Well Mr Webb can now concentrate on the club issues and see what the hell can be done to get us back to the powerhouse we once were. His pay might not be as much as he expected though!

The game is over for now, but...
LeagueUnlimited Team | March 23 2020 7:59PM

While rugby league takes an enforced break due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we're still here and we're gonna keep on keeping on as long as we can.

Yes, the NRL season was suspended today, along with previous announcements from the NSWRL, QRL and UK leagues, but LeagueUnlimited.com is soldiering on.

The first thing? Our forums are still here. They're the biggest around, and they're online 24/7. And there's more than just footy to talk about too.

As for the website, we're still going to be bringing you a bunch of content as the new normal evolves. Opinion pieces, analysis, news from around the NRL and its clubs, and of course rolling updates on the COVID-19 pandemic and what it means for the NRL, as it comes to hand.

For now - you can look back through several years of match reports here, check out the "Rugby League: That's The Way It Was" podcast here, and 22+ seasons of NRL results here.

And of course - you can follow us on Twitter right here.

At LU, we have a team of fantastic, passionate and committed live bloggers and writers and from time to time they'll be sharing their views on the game - including the current lockdown - so keep an eye out, right here, on LeagueUnlimited.com.

Most importantly - stay safe, stay healthy, and PLEASE listen to and follow government advice. We need to do everything we can to curb the spread of COVID-19. The sooner we do, the sooner the footy is back.

- Yours in rugby league
