Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues forward Tyson Frizell is on the verge of signing a lucrative three-year deal with the Newcastle Knights, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Rumours emerged at the backend of the 2019 season that Frizell was exploring his options, however, he quickly quashed speculation and pledged his loyalty to the Dragons for the remainder of his contract.

Frizell is off-contract at the end of 2020 with Newcastle set to sign the representative star, which will end his eight-year tenure with the Red V.

He has 158 first-grade games to his name, along with 14 appearances for Australia and 11 for the Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues. "

... can't get too excited about it until we know the outcome of the current situation and what the NRL looks like when it starts up again.

Glory be to God. Praying on a nightly basis does work......now I'm just waiting to see if he'll answer my prayers and allow me to bang that pretty thing at the corner store.

Frizzel's contract has not been registered, nor will it be before the NRL can work out what is left of its competion when this all ends.

hard to see how the contract amount could be honoured as the cap has to be very different moving forward, the halcyon days with gross misuse of capital are over.

Tyson Frizell's decision to quit the Dragons at the end of the season to link with the Knights on a three year deal clearly surprised local officials. So much so, it's understood the Knights privately believed Frizell was staying put at Kogarah and had already moved on to another potential target. According to whispers out of the national capital, Englishman John Bateman had attracted some interest from the Knights. Bateman is under contract for 2021 but it is common knowledge he is not happy with what he is earning at the Raiders and suggested publicly prior to last year's grandfinal he is keeping his options open about his future. Bateman is managed by Isaac Moses, who manages coach Adam O'Brien and a number of Knights players including David Klemmer

if I had to choose between to 2 I'd go Bateman. Younger than Frizell . Happy with Frizell though....no complaints, both are winners.
