With the benefit of hindsight, the people who whinged about how 2016 was the worst year ever were f**ken morons

2016 was the year we were able to start from scratch essentially. It's allowed us to change our constitutions, we got to get rid of both boards and have them appointed rather than voted in. Sure we've still got lessons to learn but in hindsight 2016 is what allowed the club to progress. At the time it sucked

Hindysight. Nathan’s all time Eels. Hayne on bench. :grimacing:

Meh. Blokes who played 300+ games are always gonna have blokes they just loved playing with.

Burty for eg seems like that type. Underrated as hell too. Better player than Hayne? No. Better bloke than Hayne? Seems to be.

Same goes for Hodgo.

I wasn’t referring to Eels fans specifically. Back in 2016 people said it was a terrible year because Bowie, Prince, etc died. There was also our 2016 season. The people who complained about that year, have no imagination.
