Anthony Siebold is more concerned about vaccinating NRL players than Broncos performances

That’s not all that will be flying over your head if the gubbmint, Seibold and Bill Gates have their way. That’s roight, I’m talking about 5G flying over your head that will influence you to vaccinate your kids and believe the lies that are being peddled by big gubmint with their scamdemic. How do I know this? Pete Evans told me so.

What a load of bullsh...

Wait.

Pete told you?

Carry on.

Broncos admin are getting what they deserved trying to play the game with the old fox.

I hope he causes them more grief.

It all reminds me of Manchester United's decision to replace Sir Alex Ferguson with the ill suited David Moyes. That ended badly and I suspect this will too. The 5-year contract offer was sheer lunacy.

it's interesting how much the NRL mirrors the EPL in that way.
Brisbane = Manchester
Sydney = London

The Broncos are the massive rich club in the Northern city who had a long serving successful coach that they dumped, just like Man U. When is there Manchester City coming?

The Titans cop a lot of flak, but the Donkeys are a far worse run club. The only reason they are profitable is because they have all of metropolitan Brisbane to themselves. They haven't won shit since the Titans entered the comp in 2007. Talented juniors choose Brisbane over Gold Coast as their preferred club due to past achievements and the third party deals on offer. Other than that the club stinks. It should be top 4 every year and winning premierships every 2nd or 3rd year with all the advantages it has.

But what about all the adversity?

If ever you wanted an example of someone getting too greedy it’s this bloke. Was given a gilt edged opportunity at Souths with a good roster and no real expectations on him and he threw it away for a bit more money and the chance to live closer to home.

If he’d have had two or three more years of results at Souths like he had in his first year, he probably gets an offer from the Broncos for his next contract anyway.

instead he jumped at the Broncos job, knifing the clubs greatest ever coach in the process. On top of this, he jumped the queue in front of club legend Kev Walters. This has meant he’s had a target on his back from day one. He took over a young team that was always going to need two or three years of development and he doesn’t seem to have the balls to stand down Darius Boyd despite the fact that he hasn’t been a first grader for three or four years.

He could well go from coach of the year to out of a job in the space of three years and given the way he’s carried himself and the fact that he’s been a complete dud at the best resourced club in the NRL, I doubt anyone will touch him.

The year before he took over at Souths he was head defensive coach and we had the worst defense in the comp so I doubt he even gets an assistant job somewhere. Will be quite a remarkable rise and fall.

Anyway, he’ll probably write a book and tell us all about it. His greatest talent is talking about himself and he’ll have loads of spare time.

Interesting if this is true (note the source is The Mole) -

The Mole: Brisbane Broncos decline linked to Melbourne Storm salary cap scandal
By The Mole

The Brisbane Broncos' sad decline has come as a direct result of the Melbourne Storm salary cap scandal of 2010.

The Broncos were the most feared team in the game for much of the 1990s and 2000s - winning six premierships with a virtual Queensland State of Origin team.

But it's been 14 years since the Broncos last won a grand final - the longest drought in the club's history - and the embarrassing 59-0 loss to the Roosters shows just how far the mighty have fallen.

So what happened? Wide World of Sports has learned that when the Storm were the disgrace of the league, with the NRL stripping them of two premierships exactly 10 years ago, shock waves went through the Broncos.

Both clubs are owned by News Limited and the media giant sent out an edict to the Broncos to cut down on the third-party deals they used to keep their superstar team together.

While there is no suggestion the Broncos were cheating the cap like the Storm were, TPAs have always been a murky area with salary cap auditors and the Broncos decided to err on the side of caution.

That brought them right back to the field - and it's been lean pickings ever since for the club, with no quick fix in sight.

The Broncos are the massive rich club in the Northern city who had a long serving successful coach that they dumped, just like Man U. When is there Manchester City coming?

not really.

Ferguson:
a - was still winning championships; &
b - retired on his terms.

Bennett:
a - wasn't winning shit
b - thought he owned the joint

Seibold has inherited problems created by Bennett. The Broncos f**ked up by already making their decision about Seibold before anyone else was even interviewed. Seibold may have been the one they eventually picked under a proper search, but at least give Demetriou and Walters a chance.

And by the way, Ferguson's first 3 seasons were pretty shit, and he didn't win the championship until his 6th season in charge and not with the players he inherited.

Most supporters want immediate results. If the Man Utd board gave in to supporters, they wouldn't have been the club they ended up being. Ferguson didn't go for short-term wins. He ended up rebuilding the club and making them a dominant force for two decades.

To think those same flogs who wanted his head in the mid-80s ended up worshipping the ground he walks on.

Seibold has created his own problems, the youth in the squad is by design, its like they wanted to clear out the older players and have an nyc team running out each week. On top of that he makes boneheaded decisions like keeping his most experienced forwards on the bench and starting with his least experienced forward pack.

once again, if you were a broncos squad manager, do you keep those guys and jag wins for the CV and placate fans without really competing for a premiership? do you think a spine of boyd, milford, nikorima and mcculloch and an undersized middle in mcguire was going to be part of a broncos premiership in the next 2-3 years? the recruiting and roster mgmt was already shit.

or do you accept some short-term pain to try and set the club up for the next few years to really be a contender? he's got a 5 yr contract. i'd say that's his approach and he's got the ok from the board to do it.

sometimes, fans are their own worst enemy. all they want is a win this weekend when it ultimately leads to nothing. and the fury is driven well by the media

Getting flogged by 50 points regularly isn’t setting them up for success. If it doesn’t turn around soon those young guns will get sick of losing and look elsewhere for the chance to be competitive and guys like Fifita, Haas etc will have clubs lining up to get them.
