So if Asquith have pulled the pin now aswell is there a point in bringing back SS and RMC with all the clubs pulling out ?

No Ron Massey this year only 2 clubs left. Maybe 3 or 4 clubs in Shield and would be floggings if they joined together. Penrith the centre of the universe for rugby league not playing senior footy either. Hearing Parra might follow.

Its looking very unlikely in my opinion that either SS or RMC will play this year. The clubs will be getting some money and getting ready for the 2021 preseason in November.

Will be interesting if anyone does run an A grade comp, Maybe NSWRL will as they have done.
How many players from NSW Cup, RM and SS will want to play

Not many, the game owes them for the privilege of having them play. If they'd play for nothing none of the clubs would have needed to pull out

Mounties has posted on their facebook that they will make $10 million less this year because of the closedown. So that means they will only make $50 million this year instead of $60 million so how could they possibly pay $100,000 for 10 weeks of footy.

I agree with your point however it would cost a lot more then 100k for 10 weeks.

Well, regardless of how much money you have, splashing 100k for 10weeks does seem abit stupid.NSWRL should drop the entry fee for the season to encourage clubs to join the RMC.
On the other hand,in Shield,If non league clubs like Belrose and East Ctown are still committed to the 2020 season, surely the bigger clubs(with leagues club backings) claiming they don’t have the funds are kidding themselves.

How much is the entry fee?

After seeking feedback from the Clubs, the Penrith JRL has backed down and will now run comps from 16's to A grade as long as they have a minimum of 4 teams in any grade.

Wenty has posted that it is doing everything possible to ensure that RMC and Harvey Norman teams take the field this year. No mention of SS but that grade has always been run by the Junior Club which has decided not to participate in Parra JRL this year but no mention of SS. The latter posting started a frenzy of posts from many other clubs in the Parra, Penrith and Cant Bankstown's leagues saying they would welcome all of Wenty's players.

St Marys is entering 16's, 17's and 19's as well as all the Saturday comps and will make a decision of RMC/SS/HN this week. If St Marys plays we will have:

RMC - Wenty, St Marys, Glebe-Burwood, Hills and Maitland - one more would be more workable
SS - East Campbelltown, Ryde Eastwood, Belrose, Hills, Sydney Uni, with Wenty, St Marys unknown.

I’d say 50k-100k for both.
The competition had already began when placed on paused,so obviously entry fees to those existing teams had been paid already...not sure what expenses (beside player payments) clubs would have now?

I'm hearing there will be a merged Massey/Shield comp.

Teams like Manly, Bulldogs wanted to enter, they were refused so are going to send players through Belrose and Moorebank. They will still need to keep under the points system.

More to come on this

The central coast comp will be on this season - 9 round comp but will be amateur - no players will be paid from any team - Wyong is back in the comp along with Entrance
