Sack mcgregor

This bloke has not got a f**king clue how to coach a football team. Not a clue, it’s the same useless shit every week. Oh the effort was great tonight, yay fantastic, they had no Tedesco, no Morris, lost radley in the first 5 minutes, lost there starting hooker, verrills . That second half was f**king dreadful, one out shit . Let’s not have anyone backing up the ball carrier guys, the roosters won’t see this coming. The sooner they get rid of mcf**kwit, piss young off, and get a decent experienced coach. Then quite frankly that’s what’s going to happen against the better teams. I hate to think what next week vs raiders will be like. That will be the game, there attack comes back.

I don’t think the defensive escort down to your red zone helped. The inability of the defence to halt their attack from their own 10m in the second half gave them an massive strategic edge. In good field position, they waited for the errors and mistakes and were duly rewarded.

When things didn’t work out for them, there was no sign of regret or panic. They simply stuck to their guns and played as risk free as they could.

When they fell behind, they seamlessly lifted and struck back with vengeance.

At the press conference, Robbo gave the credit to his players, for sure, but he’s an amazing coach to build that into them and make them so resilient.

Flanno needs to ask himself why this meterage and field position was surrendered for a good half an hour. That line has to be up in their faces yesterday. Otherwise you get the heartbreaking catastrophe of tonight, when the momentum was in the balance a few times. Hopes and dreams dashed by ordinary defence then you end up with pressure upon pressure that very few sides can find a way out from.

What about the others on the coaching/management staff (Millward etc) ? Are they on notice too ?

I’d say the whole coaching house of cards will collapse as fresh coaches usually bring their own crew.

Millward has brought enough misery to the club in the form of non performers. The only big signing was issac Luke last year on beer money and he’s taken a pay cut to leave a few weeks into his contract. He failed to get Suli after an offer that 80% more than Manly, so he’s not even good at overs. The talent that has left or wants out of sgi is alarming people. It’s his job to smoothe these things out. Sgi is a solid club at the base, it just needs proper top management.

Between him and Mary, the overs situation is getting to be a concern because it eats into your cap. Players want more to move into a struggling side. Strong sides or sides on the up, can often offer the player more exposure, career opportunity, selector consideration and a finals appearance. Credit to friz for spotting that in the then stock factory knights awhile ago, although by heart, he should stay for the legend status and help the club post Mary.

If I was at sgi, I’d be looking to recruit any of the top 5 clubs recruitment managers as they clearly know what they are doing.

I haven’t seen the books, but so far as I know, sgi gets by ok financially.

Mc Gregor has had over six years to get the roster and coaching tactics right. Ideally he should now have the ideal roster and coaching team and strategy. However last year the success rate was barely 30% and this year 33%. The sooner he goes the better without disturbing the rest of the coaching staff. In Ford, Fuimaono, Frizell, Host and Tariq Sims we have some great edge runners but Mc Gregor insists on a bash and barge style and despite Mc Gregor being a great centre the backline rarely spreads the ball.
Especially Aitken!

The truth is if we sack him the players will take one huge sigh of relief. Then deservedly so many will be punted by a coach who knows what he is doing.

All this support for McGregor is on the back of him being a good bloke. There is no evidence he is a good coach. You can't be 'let down by the players' seven straight years.
We are good people too. We don't get millions to sit in front of the game and look disappointed. That's the difference.

He's a good bloke only to the one's that help keep him in the job

Hmmm
He looks a total arsehole in the box,
a goon in the presser,
an idiot in front of a mic
out of his depth in the Shed

.... most at ease running cones according to Flanno
... a beacon of coaching genius to the fawning Gordons

...McMe’s a psychoanalyst’s smorgasbord in reality

In fact FOX should split screen him full time for entertainment

...as it’s far better than watching his skilless Lovechild
turnstiling
& jibbering around the hapless field

The big question remains;

Has the team, or the coach improved sufficiently over the last 3 weeks?

Next week is supposed to be the final game before the "next review".

Has he done enough!

Is that correct?! If so, that is diabolical. What the f#*k is the board talking about when they say that they are only disappointed with the first 4 rounds of this year? FMD.

Straight Shooter
100% fact
Here is some stuff to ponder over while chewing your All Bran
Credit where credit is due.
From when he started to Round 9 2018 he was operating at 49 W out of 96...51% (a pass?)
But from there it has all gone down..down..down..
And in 2018 he won 16 from 26 = 65% (not bad) but after winning 8 out of first 9 Rounds
Here is his record
2014 Took over Round 11.but a bye week Win ratio 7 from 14 = 50%
2015 12 out of 25 = 48%
2016 10 out of 24 = 41.7%
2017 12 out of 24 = 50%

Since Round 9 2018...(2 years ago) 18 Wins (opposition).
Titans 3
Dogs 3
Newc 2 (2018 and early 19)
Tigers 2 (pereniial 9th place)
Broncos 2 (semi and early 19)
Manly 2 (2018 & 2019 early under Des)
Cowboys 2 (2018) at the time were 2nd last and in 2019 they were 12th
Eels 1 (2018) who ran last
Cronulla 1 (this year)

and its the recent results and is dismal last half season records that count most!
He has peaked BOD and on the slippery slope to dust..mid last year it was all over and they should of pulled the pin then to be impartial and fair

Those fools on the Board will find a way to save money, cover their arses and keep the Peanut Coach around for 2020. They’ll claim some pure BS spin like we have made some positive changes & are seeing that in the teams performance.
Standby for another wankathon.

I must admit watching him in the box last night, he looked much more like a fan instead of a coach

Add what ever came out of his mouth at half time. I can't call it a coaches speech as any half skilled coach could come up with a second half game plan to defeat a busted team with over 50% of the ball.

The box was empty like McGregor, he's non gratis but still there.
